Teaching steps: Warming-up 1) Free talk. T: Good morning, boys and girls. Whats the weather like today? Ss: Its sunny. T: Yes, do you like sunny days? Ss: Yes. T: Do you like sunny days? Ss: Yes. T: Why? S1: I can swim. T: Do you like swimming? Are you good at it? S1: Yes. I do. Im good at it. T: I like sunny days, too. Because I can eat ice creams. I like eating. 2) Sing a song: Hobby hobby hobby. T: You sang very well. Are you ready for this lesson? Ss: Yes. T: Great! Who is this girl? (Show the teachers photo) 3) Lets review Ss: Miss Long. T: You are right. Do you want to know more about me? Ss: Yes. Then show three numbers(31,4,2)about me. The children guess: what do they mean? (Im 31years old. I teach the fourth graders and the second graders) Show three picture.(Doing jigsaw puzzles, painting and collecting stickers) T: From the three pictures, you can know more about me. I like doing jigsaw puzzles, painting and collecting stickers. I have a big collection. If you do well today, Id like to share them with you. Come on! Up. Up. Up . Ss: Go. Go. Go T: They are my hobbies. What are your hobbies? Work in pairs -What are your hobbies? -I like I will collect the hobbies in my “Hobby Box”. Stick the hobbies on the blackboard. Different people have different hobbies. What are their hobbies? Show some famous peoples hobbies.(Lu Han, Re Ba, Snoopy and Pikachu) Show some students shadows. Guess: Who are they? What are their hobbies? Presentation and Practice Show Bill and Luckys shadows. T: There is a boy and his dog. Do you want to know about them? Here is a story about them. Fast reading and answer: 1. Who are they? 2. Whats the storys topic? Ss: They are Bill and Lucky. The storys topic is “Hobbies”. Watch the video and find out the answer: What hobbies can you see from the video? Then pick the cards from the “Hobby Box”. T: Whos hobbies are they? Ss: Bills. T: Really? Lets read the story picture by picture. Picture 1. Listen to the tape and answer: Whats Bills hobby? Whats Luckys hobby? They like playing football. Picture 2. Read this in groups. (Ask some groups to read this picture.) Questions: Whats Bills hobby? Whats Luckys hobby? They like painting. Pay attention: messy. (Show some pictures to understand the word.) T: Lucky is messy. Is Bill angry with Lucky? Ss: No. T: Why not? Bill loves Lucky. Picture 3. Read this picture by yourselves. (Ask some students to read this picture.) Questions: Whats Bills hobby? Whats Luckys hobby? T: They like singing. What can Bill sing? Sa: He can sing in English and Chinese. T: Can Lucky sing in English and Chinese? Sb: No, he can sing in Dog. English and Chinese are two languages. Maybe Dog is a kind of language. Fill in the blanks: Lucky and I like _, too. I can sing songs in _and _. Lucky sings in _! Picture 4 Listen to the tape and follow the tape sentence by sentence. Pay attention: a big collection. ( Do the action to understand the word.) Congratulations. 板书设计板书设计 Unit4 Hobbies Story-time running skateboarding eating drawing making models swimming dancing playing basketball singing Hobby Box Bill Luck playing football painting singing collecting stickers Unit4 Hobbies Story-time 教学反思 这是一堂绘本教学课,我采用了歌曲和 free talk 相结合的导入。从谈论喜爱的天气到为什 么喜爱这样的天气,引出一些动作单词,自然过渡到 hobbies。再唱一首关于 hobby 的歌曲, 让孩子迅速进入到课堂中。复习中我呈现了关于自己的三个数字,让孩子们猜其含义,从 而对老师进行更多的了解。接着用功能句谈论一些常见的明星或孩子们感兴趣的角色,课 堂氛围很好,句子的复习也非常到位。在复习过程中自然地提出本堂课相关的一些新单词: painting,collecting stickers,messy 等,在进入绘本教学之前就处理了这些单词。为进入新 课教学做好准备。在绘本教学中,我提前设置了一些问题,采用让孩子带着任务自己阅读, 效果较好,再通过问答练习,掌握句子,了解故事细节。孩子们信心十足,课堂的教学目 标全部实现。复述故事也锻炼了孩子们的能力,最后拓展中,呈现了 good hobbies 和 bad hobbies,呼吁孩子保持良好的习惯,远离不良嗜好,达到情感教学目的。
