The pictures: duck, cat 3. The words cards: boats, kites, apples Teaching steps: 1. Warm up (1) Say hello to the boys and girls (2)T: What animalsdo you like? S1: I like ducks. S2: I like dogs. Ss: I like . T: Can you act like a duck? Wow, we have so many cute ducks. Lets chant together. Birds, birds, I see 5 birds. Cats, cats, I see 6 cats. Ducks, ducks, I see 8 ducks. 2. Presentation and consolidation (1) Present the key sentence patterns and practice the sentences T: Today, lets talk about the story of the duck and the dog. The duck and the dog are good friends. One day, they re walking on the grass. In front of their eyes, they see a big tree. Can you guess whats on the tree? S1: The bananas are on the tree. S2: The are on the tree. T: Whats your answer? Tell your partners please. (Show the picture of the apples) Ss: Wow, its an apple tree. (Show the apples one by one) Wow, so many apples. T: The little duck asks “how many apples do you see?” Who can help the cat answer the question? S1: 1, 2, 3, I see ten. Lets count and answer Ss: 1, 2, 3, I see ten. T: They go on walking. They say goodbye to the apple tree. In front of their eyes, they see a big blue lake. What do you want to say about the lake? S1: Wow, its so big. S2: Wow, its so blue. T: So the little duck asks: Ss: How many boats do you see? S1: I see 11. S2: I see 12. T: They have the different answers. Whats your answer? Ss: 1, 2, I see 11. T: What is the yellow one? Ss: The yellow one is a duck. T: Wow, youre so great! You can distinguish the duck and the boat easily. They walk to an open land. Occasionally, they meet our old friends. Ss: Zhang Peng and Amy. T: Yes, they are talking about the kites in the sky. And Zhang Peng asks: Ss: How many kites do you see? T: Yes, clever boys and girls. So whats Amys answer? Please open the book and read the dialogue, then underline the answer. T: Have you found the answer? Ss: Yes. T: Ok, whats Amys answer? S1: 1, 2, I see 12. T: Do you agree? Ss: No. T: Whats your answer? Ss: I see 11. The black one is a bird. T: Now, lets watch and check the answer. (2) Listen, read, practice and act the dialogue. a. Listen and order the dialogue b. Listen, read and follow c. Practise the dialogue with the deskmates. d. Act the dialogue 3. Extension (1) At the Cats home T: There are many things at home, please ask and answer like this How many do you see have? I see have . (2) Students present the dialogue. (3) The quality of sharing. A monkey knocks at the door. He wants the cake. So they give a cake to him. But they only have one cake left. What should they do? Try to share with others. Youll get more in return.
