In this situation, I think words are very important for them. What I do is choosing some main words, new words and useful sentences, with some songs, pictures and games, to teach them. Students can sing the songs and dance with teacher. 4. Students can be interested in English. Key and difficult points: 1.Read and speak words: mother, father, grandma, grandpa, brother, sister 2.Students can say “I love.”in daily communication. 3.The new words and sentences in the songs. Teaching procedure: 1.Warming up: (1) Teacher plays a video, ABC song. Let students sing with the music to make them calm down. (2) Teacher asks students ”Where are you from?” Let students point and say ”Im from” to review. 2.Presentation: (1) Teacher shows some pictures of the story. Teacher tells a story with some motions of body. Let students guess the meaning of the words. (2) Then teacher asks students the number of family members so that they can review the numbers. (3) Teacher asks students who they are. If the students can answer the questions, teacher gives the stickers as prizes. (4) Read after teacher. Then read the words in different ways.
