We have six groups. Chinese group, maths group, English group, PE group, music group and art group. 2. Sing a song about subjects. 3. Ask and answer Teacher shows a timetable. Then ask : How many lessons do you have today / in the morning/in the afternoon? What are they? The students answer. Step 2 :Presentation 1.Lets play games. 1) Lets play a guessing game. Review the words about subject and learn how to write ”music ”and “art”. Ss Look at the pictures or listen to the music ,then guess“What subject?” S1 guess: PE. T: We can run, jump and play balls. Do you like PE? S: Yes, I do. S2 guess: Chinese. T: Do you like Chinese? S: Yes, I do. / No, I dont. Ss ask and answer. 2) Find out the same subject and say out. T: Lets play another game. Ss look at the subjects and find the same words. 2. Teach the word ”subject”. 1)Teacher shows the word“subject”. Then teach the word ” subject”: sub, sub, sub. ject, ject , jectsubject. 2)T: I know art is a subject. Music is a subject. What about you? S1: Chinese is a subject. S2: PE is a subject. T: Wonderful! Art, music and all the rest , they are subjects. 3.Teach the sentence “What subject do you like best?”I like best.” 1)T: Here are so many subjects. I like English, Chinese and art. How about you? What subject do you like? S: I like/ I like and Have them ask and answer one by one. 2)T: You like so many subjects. But what subject do you like best? Explain the word “best”. Good-better-best. CAI T: I like maths and PE. So I give them one heart. I like English, Chinese and music better. So two hearts. And I like art best. So three hearts. Then what subject do you like best? Then read the sentence . Ask the students and let them answer . Play a chain game. S1:“What subject do you like best?”S2:”I like best.” 4.Teach the same meaning sentence. Listen and say: Whats your favourite subject? 5.Chant 1)read and learn “all the rest”. 2)Watch and chant. Step3:Practice 1.Introduce a friend and let Ss watch the vedio. Ss answer the questions. 1.What subject does the boy like? 2.Does the girl like music? 2.Read the dialogue in roles. 3.Show Time. 4.Finish off the exercises. Step 4:Assessment Interview: “What subject/fruit/colour/toy/animal/ do you like best? Do you like_?” Step 5: Summary T:Every subject is very important. Lets try our best. Lets come on!
