Unit 3 How do you come to school? Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Its my great honor and pleasure to be here sharing my lessons with you. I have been ready to begin this representation with five parts. Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching aims, the important and difficult points, the study methods, and the teaching procedures. Part 1 Teaching material The content of my lesson is Shanxi Tourist Press, Grade 3, Unit 3. This unit is about “ How do you come to school?” by studying of this unit, well enable students to know these key sentences, and develop the interest in speaking in English. At the same time, the teacher let the students learn how to use sentences. From this lesson, it starts with the greetings. Therefor , this lesson is in the important position of this unit. If the students can master it well, it will be helpful for them to learn the rest of the unit. Part 2 Teaching aims According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus, and after studying the teaching material, the teaching aims as following: 1. Knowledge objects The students can master the usage of the important words and expressions. The students can use the sentences in the situation. The students can understand the content of the lesson, talk about how to come to school and get their idea about it. 2. Ability aims: To develop the students ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. To guide students to set up effective studying strategies . 3. Emotion and attitude aims: By completing the task, the students increase their interest in learning English, and set up confidence in learning English. Part 3 Key points -How do you come to school? -I come to school by bus. -Do you come to school/go home on foot? -No, I dont./Yes, I do. Part 4 Teaching methods As knows to us all, a good teaching method requires that the teacher should help students develop good sense of English. For achieving these aims, I will use the following methods, according to the modern social communication teaching theories: 1. Communicative approach 2. Task-based Language Teaching 3. Total Situational Action Part 5. Teaching procedure Step 1. Leading in Greeting to class and have a simple dialogue Purpose of my design: to catch students attention about this passage; to set up suspense interest in English Step 2. Presentation 1. The teacher shows PPT to make students learn the expressions. 2. The teacher lets students practice the expressions. 3. The teacher plays video and students follow it to read . Purpose of my design: to get to know the expression; to have courage to speak English I think if the students can finish the task very well , they will benefit a lot in their spoken English. Step 3. Homework. 1. Copy the sentences 3 times 2. Read the text and act it.
