Unit 7 Shanghai Is in the Southeast of China 第一课时 教学目标 1. 能听、说、读、写单词:east, west, north, south, northwest, northeast, southwest, southeast。 2. 能运用上述单词准确描述地理位置。 教学准备 1. 教师准备: (1)本单元的单词教学卡片和包头、海南,大连、拉萨、沈阳、 上海、昆明、乌鲁木齐这些城市的图片或课件。 (2)电子白板(用电子白板的放大镜功能呈现中国地图,能更好地 辅助教学)。 (3)录音机以及Lets learn部分的录音磁带。 2. 学生准备:东南西北折纸。 west 新课展示 Part A: Lets learn north east south southeast northwest northeast southwest (1) T: Lets find our city on the map of China. Where is it? Oh, here it is. Its in the north of China. Can you find another city in the north? Where is Baotou? T/Ss: Here it is. Its Baotou. Its in the north, too. T: Have you been to Baotou? Ss: . 1. 教授单词:east, west, north, south (2) T: Look at the beach. Its very nice. Do you know where it is? Ss: Yes. Its in Hainan. T: Where is Hainan? Who can find Hainan on the map? T: Here it is. Its in the south of China. (3) T: Look at this picture. Its very wonderful. Do you know where it is? Ss: Its in Lhasa. T: Where is Lhasa? Who can find it on the map? T: Yes. Its in the west of China. T: Look at this picture. Its very interesting. Do you know where it is? Ss: Its in Dalian. T: Where is Dalian? Who can find it on the map? T: Yes. Its in the east of China. T: North points up. South points down. West points left. East points right. Where is Shenyang? Its in the northeast of China. 2. 教授单词:northwest, northeast, southwest, southeast Where is Shanghai? Is it nice? Why? 结合学生的回答,顺势处理Think and tick部分,进行热身。 T: What do you think of “nice city”? Try to discuss in your groups, and then tell us the reasons. 美丽城市评选活动:告诉学生要进行一个美丽城市的评选 活动,请他们组内讨论一下评选标准是什么,并且必须要有 理由来支撑他们所制定的评选标准。具体条件可以参考Think and tick部分,也可以提出更多的标准,答案并不唯一。这 个活动最根本的目的并不是向学生提供标准答案,而是为学 生提供了一个开放性的话题,让学生们打开思维,大胆用英 语表达内心真实的想法,各抒己见。 . 新课导入 承接刚才的话题,引导学生对自己所在城市(以西安为例) 进行评价。之后,教师用课件呈现中国地图,让学生在地图 上找一找自己城市所在的位置。 T: You did a very good job. Our hometown is a very beautiful place. There are many interesting places here. We love it. Now look at the map of China. Can you find our hometown on the map? . 课程展示活动和过程的设计建议(Presentation) . 新课展示 Part A Lets learn 1. 教授单词east, west, north, south (1)T: Lets find our city on the map of China. Where is it? Oh, here it is. Its in the north of China. 借助电子白板的放大镜功能让学生看到自己所处城市的 地理位置。然后出示north的词汇卡,带领学生多说几 遍,并在黑板上画一个竖直向上的箭头,把north贴在 箭头上方。 T: Can you find another city in the north? 师生一起在地图上找出包头的位置,说一说: T/Ss: Here it is. Its Baotou. Its in the north, too. T: Have you been to Baotou? Ss: . 板书并领读单词north;朗读时提醒学生注意字 母组合or读的音,不 要读成的音,而字母组合th读清辅音的音。 (2)借助课件或图片展示海南美丽的沙滩,会话呈现 south。 T: Look at the beach. Its very nice. Do you know where it is? Ss: Yes. Its in Hainan. T: Where is Hainan? Who can find Hainan on the map? 请学生们在地图上找出海南的位置之后,教师介绍: T: Here it is. Its in the south of China. 板书并领读单词south,提醒学生注意字母组合ou读a 的音,字母组合th读清辅音的音。 (3)在地图上逐一找出大连、拉萨的位置,用同样的方式 进行east和west这两个方位词的学习,教师引导学生词 汇的拼写,借助读音规则记忆单词。 当黑板上画出东南西北完整的坐标时,教师总结如下: T: North points up. South points down. West points left. East points right. (带领学生指着坐标多说几遍,加强记忆) 2. 教授单词northwest, northeast, southwest, southeast 教师借助呈45度角的坐标,教授单词northwest。引领学生 发现规律和技巧,探究其余三个方位northeast, southwest, southeast的表达方式,用构词法帮助学生快 速记忆单词。 引导学生在地图上找一找沈阳、上海、昆明、乌鲁木齐这 些城市的位置,并说一说: Where is Shenyang? Its in the northeast of China. . 巩固活动 1. 教师播放Lets learn部分的录音,让学生听并跟读本部 分的单词。教师请学生在组内讨论记住这些单词的好方法, 尝试找规律速记单词,并能在规定的时间内,记住本节课 所学的单词。然后,将学生分组进行听写练习。听写完毕 后,教师引导学生分享并归纳他们记忆单词的方法。教师 给予积极评价与必要的指导。 2. 让学生拿出所准备的东南西北折纸,快速记忆这8个方位 单词后写在上面相应的位置,进行组内自定义游戏活动。
