Lesson 3 There Are Many Animals I. Teaching contents. The topic of Lesson 3 is preposition. Through the study of this lesson, pupils are improving their knowledge of position word and learn to use the sentence to describe the things. II. Students analysis The Ss in Grade four have learned English for nearly two years. They are active and they are willing to join in the activities. III. Teaching aims. 1. Knowledge aims. (1). To let my students are able to read, recognize and use the words of position word.: in front of, between and beside. (2). (2) To train the Ss ability of working in groups. (3) To foster Ss ability of communication. 3. Emotion aims (1) To foster Ss consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition. (2) To improve Ss interest in English. IV. Teaching key points and difficulties. 1. Key points: (1) To make sure that Ss can recognize the new words: many animals, in front of, between and beside.
