1、新牛津高中英语语法七新牛津高中英语语法七过去将来时过去将来时 过去将来时表示对过去某个时间而言将要发生的动作或存在的状态, 主要用来表示过去 对将来的计划或预测。大致有以下三种情况: 1.就过去某一时间而言, 以后要发生的动作或存在的状态。 这一用法常和间接引语搭配。 如: John said a big bank would give him a position as soon as he graduated. Jim told us that he would come for lunch. 2.过去安排好要做的事情。如: I got up early because I was goi

2、ng to catch the early bus that morning. 3.后来真实发生的事情。这种结构常用“was/were + to do”来表示。如: We were to meet at the gate of the park that evening. All those things were to be answered for. 过去将来时的句法结构有以下四种: 1. would do。表示主观意愿上想或计划安排去做。如: He said he would pick us up at the airport. 2. was/were going to do。表示预测或

3、按计划要做某事。如: I was busy, so I wasnt going to meet them at the railway station. The clouds were gathering. It was going to rain cats and dogs. 3. was/were + to do。表示非常正式的安排、指示、禁止等。 We were to inform him of the change of the meeting. 4. was/were about to do。表示马上要发生的事情,不与时间状语连用,但常和连词“” 连用。 “was/were abou

4、t to do.when.did.”表示“刚要.忽然(这时).” He was about to set out when the telephone rang. 以上四种句法结构有区别也有联系。事实上,地道的英语人并不是区分得很严格,尤其 是前三种情况, 几乎可以互换。 在使用过去将来时时要注意, 在状语从句中没有过去将来时, 用一般过去时来代替。 表示 “动身、 出发、 离开、 去、 来、 到达” 的“leave, start, come, go, arrive” 等词常用过去进行时表示过去将来时。如: He told me that he would be happy if I went
