1、Review: Tenses 1.一般现在时 (1)一般现在时主要用来表示人、事物的现在状况和特点;表示经常或习惯 性的动作或状态,句子中常有often、always、from time to time、on Sunday、once a week、every two days等时间状语。 The purpose of new technologies is to make life easier. (2)表示客观规律和永恒真理,即使出现在过去的语境中,仍用一般现在时。 I learned that Earth goes around the Sun when I was in primary

2、school. Using language (3)在时间和条件状语从句中,要用一般现在时代替一般将来时。 If by any chance someone comes to see me , please ask them to leave a message. (4)在the more.the more.(越越) 句型中,若主句是一般将来时, 从句通常用一般现在时。 The harder you study , the better results you will get. 2.一般过去时 (1)一般过去时表示过去某个特定时间发生且完成的动作,或过去习惯性动作,不强调 对现在的影响,只说

3、明过去.常跟表示过去的时间状语连用,如:yesterday、last week、in 1945、at that time、once、during the war、a few days ago等。 If you dont like the drink you ordered , just leave it and try a different one. (2)used to do表示过去经常但现在已不再维持的习惯动作。 My grandfather used to go for a walk after supper. (3)在时间和条件状语从句中,代替过去将来时。 He promised t

4、o buy me a computer if he got a raise. 3.一般将来时 (1)一般将来时表示在将来某个时间会发生的动作或存在的状态,常和表示将来的 时间状语连用。 Do you think the Stars will beat the Bulls? I will/shall go to see you when you finish the training course. (2)“be going to+动词原形”表示按照计划、打算要做的事或根据种种迹象预示可 能要发生的事。 Look at the dark clouds . It is going to rain.

5、 (3)“be about to+动词原形”表示按照预定计划或打算准备着手进行的动作,后面 一般不跟时间状语。 Please be seated . The meeting is about to begin. (4)“be to+动词原形”表示必须、必然或计划将要做的事。 Our school sports meeting is to take place next week. (5)某些动词(如come、go、leave、arrive、start、get、stay等)的一般现在时 也可表示将要发生的动作。 When does the bus start? It starts in ten

6、minutes. 4.过去将来时 过去将来时表示从过去某个时间或动作看将来要发生的动作,常用在宾语从句中。 Carol said the work would be done by October , which personally I doubt very much. (2)表示一个过去的动作正在进行时,另一个过去的动作发生了,常与when、while 引导的时间状语连用。 The boy was doing his homework when his father came back from work. (3)go、come、leave、start、arrive、return的过去 进行时可用来表示过去将要发生的动作。 She went to visit Zhao Li . He was l

I asked him whether he was coming back for lunch. 7.将来进行时 将来进行时表示将来某个时间正在发生的动作,或按计划一定会发生的事情。其 结构是:will/shall be doing,常与at this time next week、at.tomorrow、 from.to.tomorrow等连用。 Ill be doing my homework at 3 tomorrow afternoon. We will be visiting the Great Wall this ti

10、me tomorrow. 8.现在完成时 现在完成时由“have/has+动词-ed形式”构成。 (1)表示过去发生的动作(非延续性动词)对现在造成的影响或结果,常和already、 yet、up to now、so far等时间状语连用。 You dont need to describe her.I have met her several times. (2)表示发生在过去的动作(延续性动词)一直延续到现在,常和“for+时间段”或 “since+时间点”连用。 Many words have been added to the dictionary since it was publi

(3)在含有“最近几年(天、周、世纪等)以来”时间状语的句子 中,谓语动词用现在完成时。这类时间状语有: in the past few years、over the past few years、during the last three months、for the last few centuries等。 He has learned how to drive a car in the past few weeks. 9.过去完成时 (1)表示过去某个时间之前已经发生或完成的动作,句中有明显的参照动作或时间 状语。 She looked up his number in th

(2)表示过去之前发生的动作一直延续到过去的另一时间或动作,此时谓语应为延 续性动词。常用的时间状语有:by then、by the end of、by that time、until then、by the time+从句等。 He had learned 2,000 English words by the end of last year. (3)动词hope、expect、think、intend、mean、want、suppose、plan 用过去完成时,表示未实现的愿望、打算和
