Learn more about lunch. II. Language skills 1. Students are able to listen, speak, read and recognize the steps of story. Students are able to read the story on p56; 3. Students are able to catch and use the key sentences of the story by themselves through learning the story. III. Emotion aims 1. Students are able to learn in four and cooperate with each other. 2. Students are able to learn English actively and enjoyably. IV. Culture aims 1. Students are able (willing) to know about lunch. 2. Students are able to think and understand: 1) People are creative. 2) Lunch is important for our health. IV: Learning strategies 1. Students are able to read and use the key sentences . 2. Students are able to understand and use what they have learned to communicate, talk , write by teamwork, cook lunch by themselves after class. Teaching key and difficult points 1. Students are able to listen, speak, read and recognize the key sentences. 2 Students are able to read the passage on p56; 2. Students are able to read and use the key sentences by themselves .Students are able to speak fluently by practicing reading of the passage on p56. Teaching procedures: Warm up Daily talk (purpose: Create relaxed atmosphere of communication between teacher and students.) Pre-reading Lead in with a guess game Where is Gogo? ( purpose: lead in the topic today.) Show some pictures of the story. While- reading Step1 Watch and answer (4 questions) Watch the flash and listen carefully and get the answers, please take notes, the 1st time question 1 and 2; the 2nd time question3 and 4; (purpose:Practice students ability of listening , getting effective information) Check the answers and learn more about the story.(purpose: Watch the flash of the story ,with PPT, let students know more about the story. check their answers, let them learn more about the places of shopping all the food.) Step2 Read the story after the tape a. Read the story correctly with help of the tape. (purpose: Reading is very important for students to understand the story, so we should help them to read the story correctly.) b. Read together (purpose: Check if the students can read the story fluency) 3 c. Role reading in groups(purpose: Check if the students can read the story fluency with correct pronunciation and intonation.) Step3 Retell the story (group work) a. Retell the story with pictures and a piece of paper in group (purpose:Learn through group cooperation, choose the right method to solve the problem. Through putting out to test the grasp of the key point of the story.) b. Read the story and learn more about the story.(purpose:Let students read and learn more about the story.) Step4 Continue the story T: Lets think: one more question: What do Gogo, Jenny and Tony want to make for lunch with all the food? S1: Vegetable soup S2: Meat and carrots S3: Fruit salad. S4: Meat and cucumber (purpose:give them more information about making lunch, learn more about lunch, ready for making lunch . Let students think deeply, higher levels of thinking training) Post-reading Step5 Try to make our own lunch T:(with PPT) Look, I want to make Mapo tofu and vegetable soup for my own lunch today. What do I need? S1: You need tofu, meat and vegetable. (purpose:check students if they can use the key sentences in real daily life.) Step6 Discuss in group a.Try to make your own lunch and what do you need? Discuss in group.Group1,2,3,4,5 let us know the food they need. One student in 4 their group : We want to make We need(purpose:check students if they can use the key sentences in real daily life.) b. What do you want to make?(discuss in group with help of PPT) PPT show pictures of different dishes, students can choose some dishes and discuss in their group and make their own plan of making lunch and show their plan of making lunch. (purpose:check students if they can use the key sentences in real daily life. Let students improve their ability of using knowledge they learned from the story. Let them learn and use knowledge effectively.) Step7 Homework: a. Read and recite the story b. surf the Internet about lunch in other countries. c. Make lunch or dinner for your parents at home. (purpose:Let students learn more about lunch in the world. Consolidate knowledge of the story. Ask the students to make lunch or dinner for their parents at home, Let them understand how hard their parents are, work and make three meals one day for them, let them thank their parents and help at home in daily life.)
