Cultural tip: Christmas is a western festival.It is as important as Chinese New Year. 2. Show the pictures and let students say some words about Christmas. 3. Learn the new words and read together. Step 3 Story time 1.Task1: watch the cartoon and tick out the activities. 2.Task2:understand the activities at Christmas (1)listen to the recording of paragraph one and choose Q: First, what do we do? Learn the new phrase pattern: “buy sth. for sb.”and let students make sentences with this phrase. (2)Read and underline Read paragraph two together and underline the activities they do in this paragraph. Let students try to retell paragraph2 with the hints on PPT. (3)Listen to the recording of paragraph3 and judge true or false. Sentence1:We put a stocking under our beds. Sentence2: We wait for presents.
