In class: Step 1. Review the color words in the first periods and read together. Step 2. Describe the little girl with the color words. Then practice more by describing the minions. During this time, pay attention to the use of“same”. And help students know about the new sentence“Isnt she cute?” and the new words : next to and cool. Step 3. Listening. 1.Listen to the conversations and match the names with the children in the picture. (remind student s to pay attention to the color words.) 2.Listen again and fill in the blanks. Check answers and read together. Step 4. Groupwork. After listening, go on practicing more about describing a person in groups. Each group choose a number and will find a person behind it. Then describe the person like this: Eg: S1:What does she look like? S2:She is tall. S3:She has big eyes. S4:She is in a white dress. S5: S6: After the PK, find the best two groups and give them gifts to encourage. Step 5. Reading. 1.Introduce Kangkang, the main character in this book, to students and then ask them to read and learn about his friend Michael. Fill in the chart on study paper. Then ask one student to check the answers on the screen. 2.Paint the picture of Michael, let one student do it on the screen, and check how well students learn about the passage. 3.Retell the passage together with the help of the picture and the key words in the chart. Step 6. Writing. 1.Let students observe the chart about Michael and conclude how to introduce a person. Draw a mind map on the blackboard to help them understand better. After that, let students first fill in the chart about one of their friends and then write a passage to introduce. 2.Show a students passage and ask him or her to read. Teacher and other students help correct some mistakes together. 3.Ask students to exchange their passages with partners and help correct mistakes. Then ask one to show his or her work. Step 7. Summary How to describe a person well. Practice introducing more people in our lives. And love them more. Step 8. Homework. 1.Polish the passage and hand it in. 2.
