1、1从一堂传统文化课设计谈如何把核心素养植入日常教学从一堂传统文化课设计谈如何把核心素养植入日常教学中国传统节日中国传统节日端午节端午节教学设计教学设计云南省曲靖市第一中学云南省曲靖市第一中学周昆林周昆林高中英语新课程标准指出: 高中英语课程应有利于学生进一步拓宽国际视野和增强爱国主义精神和民族使命感,为他们的未来发展和终身学习奠定良好的基础。习近平总书记在党的十九大报告中深刻指出: “文化兴国运兴,文化强民族强。没有高度的文化自信,没有文化的繁荣兴盛,就没有中华民族伟大复兴。 ”因为“文化自信,是更基础、更广泛、更深厚的自信” 。在新时代中国特色社会主义伟大事业征程中,以社会主义核心价值观为引

2、领,发展中国特色社会主义大众文化,是增强文化自信的基本途径。2019 人教版新教材高中英语必修第三册 unit 1 Festivals and celebrations,我们就思考如何把文化自信的人文核心素养通过精心设计植入到常规教学之中,原教材延伸阅读是关于中国传统节日春节 (Spring Festival) , 而我们就思考在此基础上做进一步拓展, 把端午节(Dragon BoatFestival)这个更具有爱国情怀、民族情怀和民生情怀的节日设计成人文核心素养课呈现给学生。新课标进一步指出:高中英语课程要关注学生的情感,使学生在英语学习过程中,独立思考和判断能力,发展与人沟通合作的能力。基

3、于此我们的教学设计如下:一、教学内容分析本课教学内容为“中国传统节日-端午节”, 该课作为2019人教版新教材高一英语必修第三册 unit1 Festivals and celebrations 的拓展学习课,重点介绍端午节的相关知识如来源、习俗和端午节相关的日常活动,侧重学习与端午节相关的英文词汇、短语及活动的表达。本节课程内容选自网络https:/ 并进行了删节,以适应学生的阅读能力。The Dragon Boat FestivalThe Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and

4、elsewhere aroundthe world. The people of China generally receive a three-day break. The Dragon Boat Festival is one of thebusiest travel holidays in China.The Dragon Boat Festival goes by many names in China and across the world. In Mainland China, theDragon Boat Festival is referred to as the Duanw

5、u Festival. The Duanwu Festival is celebrated on the fifthday of the fifth month on the lunar calendar.LegendThe Dragon Boat Festival originated from the events of Chinas Warring States Period. According to theold stories, there was a Minister of the state of Chu who supported the decision to launch

6、 war against thecruel state of Qin. This ministers name was Qu Yuan.But later , the King disapproved and exiled(流放)Qu Yuan. During his exile(流放), Qu Yuan wrotevarious patriotic poems that expressed his love and vision for China. Among these poems written by QuYuan is the world famous “The Lament”离骚.

7、When the state of Qin began to gain ground and take over China, Qu Yuan drowned himself in theMiluo River in 278 BC. It is said that Qu Yuan loved China so much that he would rather die than see it fallinto the hands of the Qin. After his death, the works of Qu Yuan were circulated. Having gained re

8、putationas an author and a patriot(爱国者), the Dragon Boat Festival began to honor his death in the river.TraditionsTo honor the life and work of Qu Yuan, boat races are held on various waterways throughout China eachyear. While regular people participate in these races, there are also teams of racers

9、 who train for months2leading up to the events. The canoes and long boats used in these races are painted with dragon designsand colors to celebrate the holiday.Hanging Chinese mugwort(蒿草) and calamus(菖蒲) during the Dragon Boat Festival is an oldpractice that is not common in cities, but it is still

10、 used in many of Chinas rural areas. These fragrantplants are intended to keep evil spirits out of the home. In addition to this, the hanging of these plants isalso intended to bring happiness and good luck through the rest of the year.FoodDuring the Dragon Boat Festival, you may enjoy a variety of

11、cuisine that has been created just for theholiday. Zongzi (粽子) is one of the most common treats. These are sticky rice dumplings that are filledwith rice, beans, and other ingredients. They are sometimes wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. Theflavor of zongzi vary greatly depending on region and chef.

12、 It is also a common practice to drink realgar (雄黄) wine during one of the Dragon Boat Festival meals. Traditionally, this alcoholic drinks drives away evilspirits and repels disease.本节课旨在使学生对中国传统节日端午节在 Festivals and celebrations 原有的基础上得到延伸,深化对端午节的学习和理解,旨在将中国传统文化融入到英语课堂中,提高学生文化意识,传承中国优秀传统文化。培养学生对传统文

13、化的浓厚兴趣,仅仅告知是不够的,实际上,真情告白远不及潜移默化,潜移默化不如学生自主探究的效果好。二、学生分析授课班级为高三年级普通班、实验班,经过高中三年的学习,学生英语的综合语言能力有一定的积累,但各班级学生基础仍旧参差不齐,一部分学生的英语基础较好,一部分词汇量较少,多数学生对传统文化的英文积累不够。因此,在这节课中,我为学生提供了一些帮助,通过大量的图片、两个视频和介绍贯穿整节课,在欣赏视频和图片中激活他们学习的动机,并学习相关端午节习俗的英文表达方式。三、教学目标1.语言知识目标学生掌握本节课中学到的与端午节相关的习俗表达及词汇、短语和句型,能用英文正确表达端午节有关活动。2.语言能

14、力目标提高学生的词汇量并锻炼英语表达能力,提高学生运用英语的综合能力。小组讨论和合作来培养学生的交际和团队合作能力,帮助学生养成团结、协作的品质。3.文化核心素养加深学生对中国传统节日端午节的了解,让学生能够认识到中国传统节日的重要性,旨在使学生用英文正确表达端午节的有关内容,并从屈原两节诗:长太息以掩涕兮,哀民生之多艰(Long did I sighand wipe away my tears; To see my people bowed with grief and tears) ;路漫漫其修远兮, 吾将上下而求索(The way was long and wrapped in gloo

15、m did seem; As I urged on to seek my vanished dream)中体验中文、英文译文的巨大差异,此处设计问题:Which do you prefer: the original Chinese version or theEnglish version? Why?这里让学生自主思考探究得出答案,同时进一步体会原诗句如何把语言之美、思想之美和情感之美完美契合在一起,从而潜移默化地继承和弘扬我国传统文化,建立学生的文化自信和语言自豪感。4. 培养思辨和批判性思维的能力课堂上有意设计一个问题:Why do some young people celebrate

16、 western festivals?目的是让学生反思为什么有年轻人会庆祝西方的节日,学生通过思考回答:They do it just out of curiosityor just for fun, but they have little or no knowledge of western traditions and culture。他们只是出于好奇或好玩,或者商家为了获经济取利益而搞的宣传,并非是那些年轻人深入研究了西方的节日,而我3们的根在中国,我们的传统文化才是我们的血脉。这样做就是为了培养学生的思辨能力,而不是人云亦云,凑热闹,去过西方人的节日。四、教学重点1. 学习与端午节相

17、关的词汇、短语和习俗表达方式;2. 学生熟悉端午节相关活动的英文表达;五、教学难点1. 如何快速有效掌握端午节相关的词汇、短语和习俗表达;2. 如何提高学生学习传统文化的兴趣。3. 学生呈现自己观点时缺乏相关的词汇和表达能力。五、教学过程教学环节教学活动设计意图1. 导入lead in提问、视频播放、图片展示、游戏1. 提出问题 What activities are mentioned in the clip ofthe video to celebrate it?(学生自由回答)2. 展示端午节图片Show some pictures about the DragonBoat Festiv

We do hope you can come _(再次发出邀请).Yours Sincerely,Li Hua本部分为写作模板的引入, 目的是帮助学生熟悉邀请过节的书信写作, 并能顺利完成后面的写作任务, 目的是加强学生英语书面表达能力, 并进一步形成跨文化交际能力。7. 家 庭 作 业homeworkHomework:书面表达书面表达。假设你是某高中学生李华,端午节节来临之际, 当你得知来你校的交换生 Tom 将在本地度过端午节,你和家人愿意邀请他来你家和你们一起过节,请你代表家人给 Tom 写一封邀请信,内容如下:1表达邀请愿望;本环节是课堂知识的课外延伸, 进一步巩固和深化课堂所学关于端午节的英语表达方式, 也是课堂学习内容的一种呈现方式 。62简单介绍端午节;3希望对方接受邀请。注意:1.词数 100120;2可适当增加细节,以使行文连贯。总之,学生传统文化核心素养的培养,不只是写在新课程标准上的美丽文字,而是要通过教师每一次精妙的课堂设计,每一个教学环节中的巧妙引导,才能让学生自然而然地形成传统文化自信和自豪感,在未来才能更深入地去研究我们精微博大的传统文化,才能继承和发扬我们伟大的文化传统,并以此进行跨文化交流与合作,并让我们的传统文化造福于社会,促进社会的文明与进步,进而造福于全人类。7
