Teaching importances and difficulties:1.Remember some important phrases and use them in suitable situation. 2.Learn to use “Can you come to my place? Is there ?” and answer them correctly. 3.Read the conversation and answer the questions of part 1b correctly. Teaching procedures:StepI:Warming up: 1. Greetings 2.The teacher creates situation with pictures and body language,and lead to the topic:A phone call. StepII:Presentation 1.Ss read the text and think about the questions.(1)How many children are there in the conversation? A. Three B.Four (2) What are they talking about? A.They are talking about the phone call. B.Thetyare talking about the CD. (3) What is the CD-ROM about? A. Arctic animals. B.School. (4) How do they ask their mother and grandmother? A.Go home. B.Make a phone call. 2.Play the tape for the third time. Check the answers together.Understand and say the new words: CD-ROM and Arctic animals. 3.Play it for the fourth time. The teacher ask the pupils mime the voice and intonation. And teach the phrases:wait a moment,hurry up.Create the situation and teach “have to” 5.The teacher lead them mime the voice and intonation. 6.The teacher lead them read and understand the five questions of part 1b. 7.Check the answer together. 8.The teacher encourage them say more information and help in time. Step III. Practice 1.The pupils role play reading. 2.Ask 2-3groups act out the conversation in front of the class. 3.Make a phone call with the pupils. Step IV.
