The reading passage is an argumentative essay. An argumentative essay usually consists of a thesis statement

3、, multiple supporting arguments with examples, illustrations, or explanations, and a conclusion. The author puts forward the thesis statement at the beginning and supports it with a discussion of three aspects in relation to the benefits space exploration has brought for mankind. In the last paragra

4、ph, the author once again makes clear his attitude and emphasizes the importance of continuing space exploration.
