1、Unit 3 What would you like?Good morning, distinguished judges! I am No.1 candidate, applying for English teacher of primary school. Its my pleasure to stand here and show my teaching plan with all of you! My topic is “What would you like?” Today Im going to describe my thoughts in the following 6 as

2、pects: analysis of teaching material, analysis of students, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching procedures and blackboard design. To begin with, I will analyze teaching material. This lesson comes from Part B, Read and Write, Unit 3, PEP Primary English, Book 5. The topic of this unit is ab

3、out how to express somebodys favourite food. In this lesson.It mainly deals with two notes from Yifan and Grandpa to Robin to talk about their favorite food.This topic is closely related to students daily life, therefore,on studying the teaching material, I put forward the teaching aims according to

4、 English new lesson standard. First of all, knowledge and skill aims: The students can listen, read, spell and write the sentences: My favourite food is Its. I dont likebutis OK. I likebut not and the Ss can use the sentences to express their favourite food. Secondly, process and method aims: The Ss

5、 can understand the letter and get some information; Ss can master the format of note.Thirdly, emotional and attitude aims: Cultivate Sss ability of cooperation and broaden their horizon by studying Chinese and western culture. Based on analysis of teaching material, the key points of this lesson ar

6、e to help students understand the notes and Ss can listen, read and write the sentences of My favourite food is Its. I dont likebutis OK. I likebut not to express their favourite food. The difficult point is to help the students to use this sentence to communicate in their daily life and master the

7、format of note. As we all know, the aims of teaching English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. Make sure the students take part in class. Ask and answer in pairs and groups. Ill use task-based method, comm

8、unicative method, group cooperate method, TPR method, performance and games methods to teach this lesson. I will let the Ss learn in real situations. In order to interest the Ss, Ill use some pictures, words and sentence cards, and the multimedia computer as my teaching aids and to help me to achiev

9、e the aims. Then we come to the most important part-teaching procedures, which will be demonstrated in the following steps: Step 1Lead-in Ill talk with the Ss about their favorite food, and students should answer by using the sentences of “My favorite food is Its.” Ill divide the Ss into two groups:

10、 G1 and G2 .If G1 is better. They will get more food. If G2 is better .they will get more food. Design purpose: Talking with students is a natural way to lead the students to new lesson, and students can express their favorite food through free talk. Step2. Pre-reading I will use the tape to broadca

11、st the notes, and after listening, students could try their best to find the food which have mentioned in the letter.Design purpose: Listening to the tape could not only train their listening ability, but also review the food names which they have learned before. So it is an effective preparation fo

12、r the further learning. Step3. While-readingActivity 1: Match. I will show couples of pictures of different food, student can try to find the corresponding picture after their first reading. Activity 2: True or false. After careful reading, I will give some sentences and students can discuss with th

13、eir partner about which sentence is true. Design purpose: Improve students reading ability through different reading skills, and these two activities could help students to grasp the detailed information of the notes. Step4. Post-reading Task 1: Listen to the tape and retell the notes. Students list

14、en to the tape about Yifan and grandfathers notes to Robin, and then try to retell the notes by using the key sentences “My favorite food is Its. I dont likebutis OK. I likebut not” Task 2: Making report. After that, students work in pairs to discuss Yifan and Grandfathers favorite food and act it o

15、ut in the form of making dialogues. Design purpose: Task-based teaching method is used here to develop students ability of communication and lead the students learning by doing. Step5. Summary Ss make a summary on what they have learned this class, and I will make supplement that we have known how t

16、o express our favorite food and whats more, we should broaden our horizon by studying Chinese and western culture. Design purpose: Check the Ss weak points and what they have learned this class. Teacher make supplements based on the students summary, and arouse the students awareness of broaden our

17、horizon by studying Chinese and western culture. Step6. Homework Do a survey about your parents favorite and unfavorite food. Design purpose: This homework is closely related to students daily life, and it can also improve their communication ability. Finally, I will talk about my blackboard design. I will show the picture of food, students should match the food according to the passage.
