Studen ts are expected to master the new words: cow,horse,sheep,thirteen,fourteen, fifteen,sixteen and use the sentence patterns “ I have.” in
3、 proper situati on. By study of this unit, the students know how describe the number of their b elongings with simple words and sentences. The study of this lesson will help the stu dents with daily communication. Therefore, on studying the teaching material and regulation of the student s growing o
4、f mind, I put forward the teaching objectives according to the New English Lesson Standard. The first is aims on the knowledge: (1) To enable students to learn some new words, such as cow,horse,sheep,t hirteen,fourteen,fifteen,sixteen and to master the sentence patterns : I hav e. Make sure that students can use these sentences in real situat ions. (2) To develop students abilities of communication
6、 and their innovation Aims on the emotion: (1) The emotion aim is to foster students? consciousness of good co-operati on and proper competition. (2)By completing the task, the students increase their interest and set up self-confidence in language study. The main and difficult points about this les
7、son are: (1) To make sure students can pronounce the word: “fifteen” correctly. (2) To help students to use the sentence pattern: I have correctly. Part Two: Ways of teaching and learninPart Two: Ways of teaching and learning As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary
8、 school is to cultivate pupils? basic abilities of listening and speaking and th eir good sense of the English language. Students are expected to learn in real situation, so I will use some pictur es, cards and body language to help them get a better understanding of the cont ent. A tape recorder an
9、d multimedia computer will help me to achieve the aims. The Task-based teaching method, Communicative teaching method and Group coo peration teaching method will be used in this period. 10、ng Ill finish this in five steps. 3 Step1. Warm-up and preview 1. Greetings 2. Listen to the song: Old MacDonald Has a Farm 3. Review some words of animals such as dog, hen, cat and duck with flash c ards. P: It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the s tudents by singing.
11、 And at the same time it provides situations to review learn ed knowledge for the next step. Step 2. Presentation Now I will mainly talk about this step. 1. First I will show students a picture of farm, and ask students what they can see on the farm. Then lead to the new words: cow, sheep, horse one
12、 by one. Practice these words and phrases with “High and Low Voice”. P: To present the key phrases one by one is much easier for the students to learn and grasp the meanings. 2. CAI shows pics of sheep, cows and horses, let students to count the numb er. Then lead to the new words: thirteen, fourtee
13、n, fifteen and sixteen. P: With the help of CAI, the students can get a better understanding of the text. 3. Play tape recorder once and lead to the sentence pattern “ I have.” . Then the T plays the tape recorder twice or three times, let students listen an d imitate the dialogue. Pay attention to
14、the pronunciation and intonation. 4 P: Accurate pronunciation is very important in English learning. Teacher sh ould train the students? ability of imitation consciously. Step 3. Practice Play a game. (What is different!) PPT shows a couple of pictures, let students to find out the differences of th
15、ese pictures. The group which finds out first will win a point. P: This game can arouse stude nts? interest in learning English. Meanwhile, it also help to consolidate the n ew words and phrases. Step 4. Consolidation Divide the students into 4 groups. Each one would do a survey to finds out the num
16、bers of their belongings (such as school things, farm animals). And then find out which group finishes faster. P: Task-based Teaching Method is used here to develop the Ss? ability of co mmunication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained. Step 5. Homework 1. Listen to the tape and repeat. 2. Finish off the activity book of this lesson. Step 6.
