Have you ever thought about having a yard sale to sell your things? What would you do with the money you raise? They can give away the old toys to people in need or sell them for money. Ability objectives 1) Be able to answer the questions in 3a and 3b and finish off the exercises in 3c 2) Be able to master and correctly use the for-phrase and since- phrase 3. Moral objectives Through yard sales, students are supposed to learn to give up what we no longer need and use and make the used things reusable and even helpful to others Teaching focus: 1. The new words and expressions in this part 2. Learn to correctly use the for-phrase and since-phrase Teaching difficulties: Students may find it difficult to learn and remember all the new target words and expressions in a short time Teaching aids: Multi-media Teaching processes: Step1 Show the screen and let students know what part of SectionA we are going to learn today Step2 Present the passage on p75 Step3 Learn the new words and expressions in this part together. Step4 Ask students to go through the passage and get ready to answer the question in 3a and then check the answer Step5 Read the article again and ask five students to write the answers to the questions on the blackboard and then check the answers (Show ppt on the screen) Step6 Ask students to finish the chart in 3c and next ask students to give answers orally and then check the answers (Show ppt on the screen) Step7 Tell the general idea of the article and make sure they understand it Step8 Show the ppt in the article of 3a and tell some grammar on the present perfect tense Homework: 1. Copy the new words on p75 2. Get ready to recite the passage in 3a
