Teaching method: 1.The Communicative Approach 2.The Situational Teaching Method 3.The Gaming Teaching Method 4.The Activity Teaching Method 5.The Cooperative Learning Method Teaching materials: T:Word cards, pictures, PPT S:Book,exercise book. Teaching arrangement: New lesson, 1 class( 35min) Teaching contents analysis: From page 8 to 9, this lesson is divided into five sections, all these sections are about the shape of oval. 1.Listen, look and say. In section one, there are two pictures with words and tapescrips. It can help students learn these two new words triangle and cake well. 2.Work in pairs. In order to learn the new words and phrases well, there is a dialogue in this section. Meanwhile, students can imitate the tap pronunciation and learn how to make a dialogue in a correct way. 3.Listen and check. In this section, the teacher should play the recording and ask students to match the word with the picture. 4.Listen draw and color. In this section, students can grasp the words again. 5.Lets sing. This song is about the shape of oval. Rhythm are difficult for students. Therefore, the teacher should give a detailed meaning of each difficult lyric to students. Teaching presentation: Step1. Warming up T: Good morning, boys and girls. S: Good morning, Miss You. Step2.Revision T: Boys and girls, look at screen? What can you see? S:watch. T: What is shape this? S: Its a circle. T:who can fill in the blanks.(asking one student to say the long sentences.) (practicing the square/triangle in a same ways) Step3. Learn new words and phrases T: Look, whats this? S: Its an egg. T: Whats this? Is it an orange? S: No. its a lemon. T: Great, its a lemon. S: Egg . An egg. T: Lemon .A lemon . T: Do you have an egg? S: Yes, we have. T: Now draw an egg on the paper, please. Ss: Drawing pictures on a piece of paper. T: Oh, let me see. Pick one students picture and say :what shape is this? S1:Its a circle. S2:Its an oval. T: The egg is in the shape of an oval. Repeat! S: Its an oval . The egg is in the shape of an oval. Step4. Listen to the tape and repeat. T: Now lets listen to tape and read the part1 and part 2 together. The Ill ask one to be a little teacher.(students will read the new words and sentences in front of the blackboard. ) Step5. Lets sing! T: Firstly well listen to tape and we sing the song after the tape. Step6. Do part3 and part 4. Listen to tape and finish these two parts. Homework: 1.Listen to the tape read text 5ts. 2. Copy the words and phrases 3ts. Blackboard design: Lesson 4 oval egg what shape is this? Its an oval. The egg is in the shape of an oval.
