Teaching steps Step1 warming-up and revision (1) Ask question : what we have learned at the former Unit ? Yes , look at this pictures “Is it beautiful home ? Do you like it ?” (2)Then ,according to this pictures do pair work to make performance . (pictures of living room , bedroom , kitchen ,study room , bathroom ) (2) Do action for “Let us from twenty to twenty-nine” Step2 Presentation (1) As you know number is very important in our life . today we are continue to learn numbers . Look at the screen. Can you read it ? We say in English “ thirty ”. In this way I will present the new words “thirty and forty ” (2) Show me your finger and head to spell them. (3) Look at the pictures to read and touch it. (4) Play game ( jumping game and desk game to practice the new words ) (5) Present the sentence structures. How many students are there in your class? There are forty. (6) Read after me. (7) Do action for the sentences. (8) Ask and answer. Step3 practice (1)Look at the screen and guess what the dialogues are about. I will ask some questions Who are they ? Where are they? What are they doing? (2)Listen to tape for two times, Pay attention the pronounciate and intonations. (3) Listen to me and underline the words they did not understand. (4) Give them explanation for every sentence. (5)Read after me. (6) Do action for every sentence and practice the difficult sentences. (7)Do group work to practice. (8)Give them five minutiae to make performance according to the dialogue. Then come to the front to share with their classmates. (9) Look at the screen to retell the dialogue.
