Why is he/she a great man/woman? 课前准备课前准备 教师课前需要准备录音机、磁带、教学挂图、单词卡片和世界名人图片。 教学过程教学过程 1Warm-up. 上课前,教师可以先带领学生复习以前学过的有关职业的词语和句型,目的是 让学生通过回忆学过的有关内容,为本节教学铺平道路。来源:学科网 之后,教师将课前精心准备的一些世界名人的画像(可从网络上下载) 、制作的 课件,也可以是有关名人的录像等,展示给学生看,让学生说出有关人物的名 字。然后,让学生谈论这些名人的国籍、生平事迹等。教师也可以直接用英语 询问:Do you know these people? Who are they? Where are they from? What did they do?等,引导和启发学生就有关的名人进行谈论。通过这些活 动,将学生注意力逐步转向本节课教学内容上来。 2任务1的教学: (1)在进行上述活动的基础上,教师让学生看Look, listen and act的教 学 内容,看对话中出现了哪些人物,他们在谈论什么,提到了哪些世界著名人物 和他们的事迹。 (在学生看的过程中,教师将有关生词和Who was he/she? She was a great scientist. He saved many peoples lives. 等句型写到黑板上,或 用多媒体展示出来。 ) (2)教师简单讲解黑板上或多媒体展示出来的生词和句型。然后,教学生认读、 跟读和记忆。 (3)播放Look, listen and act的录音,先让学生听两遍。在听懂大意的基 础上,给学生布置“任务” ,比如:Who was Marie Curie? What was Norman Bethune? Was Norman Bethune a great scientist? 等,让学生带着问题、带 着目的去听录音。 (4)通过多种形式让学生朗读Look, listen and act的内容,比如:跟录音 读,跟教师读,角色扮演朗读。也可以让学生将课文内容换成自己的话来进行 复述(注意,复述课文应根据学生实际情况选择使用。 ) (5)在学生听懂和熟读的基础上,组织学生以小组为单位,进行角色扮演,模 仿Look, listen and act的内容进行对话表演。 (在学生进行对话表演时,教师 可将Look, listen and act的内容通过图片或多媒体等方式,向学生适当提供 情景,以便学生模仿对话时参考。 ) 语言点解释 表示“第”时,习惯先说名词,而且第一个字母大写,然后再说阿拉 伯数字或基数词,如:Lesson 10, Class 5, Page 19等。 (以前已讲解过,可 参考。 ) 由于本单元是谈论世界著名人物,因此,从本节课开始,大量用到“一般过 去时”这种时态,请教师提醒学生们注意。例如:Who was she? She lived in France.
