In China, theres a long history to fly a kite in Spring . The most famous kite flying city in China is Weifang in Shandong province. Flying kites becomes to be a universal sport. traditional culture ChineseChinese Module 8 Unit 2 I made a kite. 一、教材分析 本课是新标准英语五年级下册第八模块第二单元,本单元的话题是谈论手工 制作的步骤,功能是 Describing the procedure of making something。 本课主要内容是用一般过去时描述 Daming 制作风筝的步骤。通过描述风筝的制作过程, 帮助学生进一步练习巩固一般过去时。 二、学情分析 五年级的学生已经具备了一定的英语知识储备,能够明确、理解并运用一般过去 时进行描述,但学生对文化意识的感知和理解比较薄弱,可以通过谈论具有中国特色 的手工制作的过程,比如:风筝、剪纸、具有中国元素的伞让学生了解中外文化的差 异。 三、教学目标 (一)语言知识 1. 全体学生能理解单词 drew, piece, painted, scissors, stick, tied, string; 2. 全体学生会运用:I made a kite. (二)语言技能 1. 全体学生能够听懂、会说 I made a kite. 2. 全体学生能够朗读课文,并阅读相关短文。 3大部分学生能够借助图片、文字等方式,运用所学语句谈论手工制作的步骤。 (三)情感态度 热爱中国文化,增强爱国意识。 (四)学习策略 积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务。 (五)文化意识 了解中国传统文化,能初步注意到中外文化的异同。 五、教学重点 能够运用 I drew/painted/cut/put/描述物品的制作步骤。 六、教学难点 1.单词 stick, string, tied, piece 的发音; 2.一般过去式不规则形式的变化。 七、教学准备 卡片,CD-ROM,PPT, pad,微课等多媒体教具,京剧脸谱、窗花等。 八、教学过程 I. Warm up and lead in 1.Greetings:Hello, boys and girls. 2. Warm up: Sing a song: fly fly in the sky. 3. Ask the question: Do you like flying a kite? The girls like flying a kite,too. Lets watch the video and think about :What did this girl do? (Watch the video) Ss: She drew a dragon and made a kite. 4.New word T: Do you know this word? drew flew blew chew 5.Lets have a chant together. I drew a dragon. I cut the paper. I made a kite for my sister. (用英语歌曲导入,学生观看英语动画,营造气氛,培养学生学习英语的乐趣,培养 学生的语言节奏感和创造能力。) T: Daming made a present for his cousin .Do you remember what Daming made? S: He made a kite. II.Task Presentation Talk about how to make kites and other Chinese traditional cultures. . Text learning and practice 1.T: First, Lets listen to the video and try to choose: What tools does Daming need to make a kite? 2.Try to choose : What does Daming need? S: paper stick pen string Teach the new words. 3.T: How many steps to make a kite? Read the text and repeat .Then order the pictures. 4. Take out your practise and order the pictures?(Pad 打开练习题进行排序) Check the answers. 5. Talk about the steps. 1)S: I drew a dragon on a piece of yellow paper. New words: a piece of T: Look! I have got a piece of yellow paper. I drew a mouse on the paper. Just now, I told you to draw something on your colour paper.Where did you draw ? S: I drew a on a piece of paper.(make some sentences ) I drew an orange on a piece of red paper, I drew a pen on a piece of green paper. 2)T: Who can try to talk about picture 2?
