1 unit 1 I want a hot dog,please.说课稿 Today Ill talk about module1 unit 1from book six , the topic is about ordering food, the lesson is focused on the topic of the food and the price. I will talk about it from the following 8 parts : 1.Analysis of the teaching material 2.Analysis of the students 3.Learning aims and demands 4.Key points and difficult points 5.Teaching methods 6.Teaching procedures 7.Blackboard design 8.Teaching reflection part 1 Analysis of the teaching material. 1 . there are a lot pictures. For this, the kids are interested in the book. As we all know that interest is the best teacher for the students. 2. It lays stress on the communication. According to the problem of Chinese students learning English, the book design a lot of material to improve the students ability of listening ,speaking, reading, and writing. So I think the book is very good. Part2 Analysis of the students. It is known to us that the kids are very active and like playing games very much, so during my class, I designed some interesting games to activate them to participate and learn something. They were also interested in the class. 2 Part3 Learning aims and demands. There are knowledge aims and ability aims. Knowledge aims : 1.to enable the students to master the words : look, cashier ,cola ,dollar ,cent ,enjoy, careful, be careful. 2.And they can understand and use the sentences: Can i help you ? I want a hot dog ,please.How much is it ? Its thirteen dollars and twenty five cents. Ability aims (1) To develop Ss abilities of listening and speaking (2) To train the Ss ability of working in groups (3) To foster Ss abilities of communication Emotional Aims (1)To make students learn more about western culture. Now Im going to talk about next part is the teaching aids .In this class, Ill use pictures, PPT and tape recorder. These can arouse the students interest in English. Part 4 Key-point: New words and sentences about ordering food. Difficult point: Develop their communicative ability. Part 5 Teaching methods and Studying ways:. My teaching methods are task-based approach and situational approach. Studying ways: municative studying ways. 2. Study in groups. 3 Part6 Teaching procedures. In my English Plan, It consists of 6 steps. Warming up, lead-in, learning new contents, detection ,summary and homework. Step1 is warming up 1.Here used PPT to play an English song “what do you want to eat?” for the students and asked them to try to follow it to sing together. By this, the students can be interested in it and pay their attention to our class easily . 2.Brain storming, students speak out the name of western food as much as they can .The purpose is to prepare for learning new knowledge. Step2 is lead-in 1. I began the class by showing some pictures of food. 2. and played the video of the activity 1.Directly cut into the topic,这样直接切入主 题,使学生在充分的视觉和听觉冲击下初步感知本课的目标语句.本环节我还交 代了本课的学习任务以及评价方式,这样有助于学生带着明确的目标进入新知 的学习,从而有效提高学习效果。 Step 3 is learning new contents 1.Listen and answer Students listened and watched the video,then answered the question:What do they want ? This can be helpful to highlight the difficult points of this lesson. 2.read and find the answer Students read the conversations carefully and found the answer : How much is it? 这 样不仅可以巩固对目标语句的运用,同时也让孩子对目词汇 dollar,cent 有很好 的理解和把握。 4 3.role play the conversations The students were divided into several groups and there were four in each group with different roles. After listening and reading follow the video, Students acted out the situations. Student A acted as cashier Student B acted as Daming Student C acted as Simon Student D acted as Simons dad It trained the Students ability of working in group .I reward good team .在跟读过程 中我对 be careful 一词进行点拨 Step4 Detection-play a game Who can speak out the right sentence with the least amount of time. This can consolidate the target vocabularies and target languages.同时也体现了新课 程倡导的理念,让学生在玩中学,学中玩。 Step5 .summary and homework. Students read the target words and sentences. I summarized the performance of each group.Then I designed two kinds of homework. 1. Read the conversations for at least 3 times. 2. Students designed their own menu.It can be prepared for next lesson. 这样设计作业将有效引导学生及时复习巩固本课学习成果,同时与下节课的学 习有效衔接。 5 Part 7 Blackboard Design Blackboard design should be thought for a thing that attract the students attention and let them to write down the important teaching points. I divided the blackboard into two parts .The left part were used to write the important vocabulary ,The right part were precious explanation about the text structures,this is my blackboard design. Part8 Teaching reflection After this lesson, there are some advantages and disadvantages .For example, Students imitate and role play the conversations.It can really develop students abilities of listening and speaking,and its very interesting.But there are also some disadvantages.in this class, role play is a little difficult for countryside students. (3)Listen and answer (activity 1) a. Students watch the video and answer the question: What do they want? b. Teacher explains what the hot dog is. Step2 learn new knowledge 1) Listen and answer(activity2) Students watch the video and answer the question: What do they want? 2) Read and find the answer a. Students read the text book and answer the question:How much are these food? b. Teacher explains dollar and cent. Step3 practice Students watch the video and read follow the conversations,then practice the conversations in pairs. Step4 consolidate 1) Memory game Students remember the prices of the food,then ask and answer the price. 2) Role-play Students role play the cashier and the customers to order food. Step5 summary and homework 1.Teacher evaluates each group. 2.Students design their own menu.
