And you? T: Im fine, too. 设计意图：通过简单的问候，可以消除学生的紧张情绪，拉进师生间的距离，使学生很快 地进入到课堂中来。 2. Review the holidays. T: Look at this picture, do you know what is it? Ss: Its Childrens Day. T: Good! Look at another picture, what is it? Ss: Yes, its National Day T: Childrens Day and National Day are holidays.(Show the students the new word: holiday) 设计意图：学生在通过图片复习了以前所学节日，为本课节日的学习做铺垫，并能很快吸 引学生的注意力，激发学习兴趣，调动他们的学习积极性，为本节英语课打下一个良好的 开端。 Step 2: New concepts 1. Presentation T: Look at this picture. What holiday is it? Ss: Its Spring Festival. T: Yes, Its Spring Festival. And it is Chinese holiday. It is a very important Chinese holiday. What do we do on Spring Festival? Who can say something about Spring Festival? After the students say something about Spring Festival ,teacher tells the students something about Spring Festival. 设计意图：在这一环节中, 教师通过对中国传统节日春节的描述让学生充分了解春节是个 非常重要的节日，在这样一个节日里我们都会做些什么，为本课 Christmas 的学习做好了 充分的准备 T: Ok, just now you have said so much about Spring Festival. Today we are going to learn something about an important Western holiday. First please look at this picture and tell me :What is it? Ss: Its a tree, A Christmas tree (Teacher teaches the new words: Christmas tree, Christmas lights, Santa by showing the pictures on the screen.) 设计意图：因为本课课文较长处理生词再进行课文教学的方式以达到降低难度的目的。 : 2Practice T: First, lets look at the screen and listen to the dialogue, then try to answer two questions . (出示课件 ) Q1: What is Christmas? Q2: When is Christmas? Ask the students to listen to the tape again, then ask them some other questions according to the dialogue. (Teacher prepares more messages about Christmas and show the students to interest them.) 设计意图:经过两次听课文，大多数学生已经掌握了课文内容，根据课文提出的问题也遵 循了由易到难的原则，这样可以帮助学生更好的理解并运用所学知识。另外，在学习的过 程中还给学生们补充了一些有关圣诞节的课外知识，不但扩充了知识量而且能充分激发学 生的积极性。 3. Ask the students to read follow the tape and then read by themselves. 设计意图：通过听读可以帮助学生更好地掌握本课重点内容这不仅是对本课重点内容形式 上 的扩充，也是检验学生学习效果的一种手段和途径。 Step 3 Class Closing Homework: 1.Make Christmas cards and send them to your good friends. 2. Send an e-mail to your friends. 设计意图：反复抄写的作业会让学生感到乏味，但是让学生去做圣诞贺卡并写出祝福语寄 给自己的好朋友，学生是非常乐意去做并能主动完成的。所以，这项作业不但是课本内容 的一个延伸，也是充分发挥学生创新能力的一种手段。 教学反思 本课的教学目标是让学生通过短文的学习来了解西方重要节日圣诞节以及这个节日 里进行的一系列活动。通过本课的学习，学生并能够正确运所学知识进行实际的应用。同 时要求学生能够熟读课文以及掌握本课四会单词。为了达到以上目标，我设计了以下环节 来实现。 首先，通过复习以前所学节日引出本课新授内容“holiday”。通过看图片学生可以复习巩 固所学旧识，充分练习口语，先让学生消除了紧张的情绪，在轻松的状态下开始了一节英 语课，并且为下面的环节作了铺垫。接着通过对大家熟知的春节的描述从而引出本课重点 内容西方重大节日圣诞节。在与春节对比中学习了这个西方特殊的节日所特有的一些东西， 让学生更好的了解圣诞节。使得学生在本课的学习中能充分体会中西方文化的不同之处。 在处理完生词后进入了课文的学习，通过视频让学生先感受英语文字与声音的双重作用， 学生既锻炼了听力又达到了能快速阅读的目的，之后的两个比较简单的问题来检验听读的 效果。接下来把课文分成两部分进行精读，这次老师提的问题会稍难一些，目的是为了帮 助学生深层次的理解课文内容。通过这一环节的练习，大部分的学生掌握本课重点，并且 能够复述文章内容。为了更进一步加深学生对该节日的理解，教师又补充了一些课外知识 让学生对圣诞节有了更进一步的了解。这是教学的一个延伸，通过这一部分的学习使学生 对该节日有了更深层的认识，取得了良好的学习效果。 但是这节课中也存在一些不足之处，如在描述有些图片时，学生的答案没有达到老师预 期的效果，使得课堂有些拖沓。还有一些孩子在课堂上比较沉默，教师应该想法调动这一 部分孩子的积极性，让所有学生都参与到课堂中来。这些都是我在今后的教学中应注意的 问题，因此我应吸取更好的教学方法与手段，不断地改进、充实自己的课堂，使得我的课 堂教学能够取得更好的教学效果。 Childrens Day National Day holidays Spring Festival Christmas a Christmas tree Christmas lights Santa the North Pole 北极北极 reindeer sleigh chimney Answer the questions: 2.When is Christmas? 1.Whats Christmas?
