小学英语五年级上册(人教版) Lets learn Unit 1 Whats he like? 一、教材分析一、教材分析 Unit 1 Whats he like?本单元的主题是学习怎样描述人,内容重要,在 实际生活中实用性比较强。 二、学情分析二、学情分析 本课的教学对象是五年级学生,他们已经掌握了一定的英语词汇,具有一 定的英语学习的积极性与主动性,具备了一定的英语语言运用能力,求知欲增 强。因此,在新知识传授的同时,教师要尽可能多的为学生创造良好的语言环 境,给学生充足的语言“习得”机会,让学生在学习中积极参与、大胆发言,从 而形成积极的情感态度和自主学习的能力。 三、教学目标三、教学目标 (一)知识目标 1、能听懂、会说并认读下列单词:old, young, funny, kind, strict. 2、能够运用句型-whats he like? -He/She is.完成基本的问答活动; (二)能力目标 能够在情境中运用上面的词汇来描述某人的性格和外貌特征。 (三)情感目标 为学生创设轻松、愉悦、和谐的英语课堂学习氛围,使学生在学习中敢于 开口说英语,珍惜友谊。 四、教学要点分析四、教学要点分析 (一)教学重点 1单词:old, young, funny, kind, strict 的认读。 2在实际语境中正确运用“Whats he like?”来提问。 (二)教学难点 能够运用正确的人称介绍自己的朋友。 五、教学准备五、教学准备 多媒体课件、单词卡片。 六、教学过程六、教学过程 Step 1 Warming-up Lets sing a song 课件呈现歌曲: Head, shoulder, Knees and Toes. 师生伴随欢快的节奏齐做韵律舞蹈。 【设计意图:激活学生已有的知识储备,复习关于身体部位的单词。 T: Ok, now lets begin our class, before the class, I will divided you into four groups. And if you answer my question correctly and actively, then the group will get one point. T:OK, now lets see a short video. I will introduce you two new students, listen carefully, who are they? And what do they have? 老师点开课下已经录制好的学生主演的视频 T: Ok, stop here, my first question: who are they? S1: Theyre Ziyi and Huiyan. T: Ok,good,sit down. And what do they have? S2: They have a new English teacher. T: and the last question: whats their new English teacher like? S3: She has short hair and she has a pair of glasses. She is friendly and beautiful. 【设计意图:给学生录小情景视频一来提高学生的积极性,二来也锻炼 了学生的口语表达能力。学生看视频回答问题激活学生已有的知识储 备,并且同时锻炼了学生的听力,对语言的组织能力及口语表达能力】 Guessing time 趁热打铁,借助 PPT,老师让学生猜图片被遮盖部分的特征。顺便复 习了在描述人时有可能用到的单词。Man or woman, long or short, friendly or unfriendly, fat or thin, beautiful or ugly. Step 2 Presentation 老师呈现一张自己的照片 T: Do you know her? Ss: Its you! T: Yes ,right! Do you think this gril is a beautiful girl? Ss: 学生肯定回答 beautiful。那么夸了老师漂亮, T: ok, I think so, thank, I will give you all one point. T: Today is my birthday, Im very happy and excited, because many of my friend will visit me.这时老师点开下一张 PPT, and say: shhlisten! Someone is knocking at the door, my first guest has arrived! Lets open the door together! Ss: Welcome, come in, please! 这时门开了,PPT 上出现圣诞老人的图片 T: who is he? Ss: He is Father Christmas. T: whats Father Christmas like? S1: He has a big bag. S2: He is happy. S3: He has white hair. T: Yes, just now, you said Father Christmas has white hair, so I want to say: He is old! 因此引出新单词 old。之后老师拿出单词卡领读,并让学生起立边模 仿老人走路边读单词 old。 T: Listen, the bell rings, my next guest has arrived. Lets open the door. Ss: Welcome, come in, please. PPT 出现了 TFboys 的照片。 T: who are they? Ss: Theyre TFboys. T: What are they like? S1: They are handsome. S2: Theyre friendly. T: Theyre my friends, theyre young. 由此引出单词 young,然后老师领读。之后老师再次拿出 old 的单词 卡片和学生一起做游戏。 游戏一:I say old, you say young. 游戏二:老师出示 old 卡片,学 生相反说出 young 单词。 T: Listen, the bell rings, my next guest has arrived. Lets open the door. Ss: Welcome, come in, please. PPT 出现了憨豆先生的照片。 T: who is he? S: He is Mr Bean. T: whats he like? S1: He is happy. S2: He is tall and thin. T: As we all know, he is a comedian, so he is very funny! 由此引出单词 funny,然后老师领读。师生一块做不许偷看的游戏:老 师先让一学生出来闭上眼睛,再将 funny 的单词卡片藏在一学生桌子里 面,然后前面的学生开始寻找,当接近目标物,学生大声读 funny 单词, 当远离目标物时学生小声读单词,直到引导寻物人找到单词卡片为止。 T: Listen, the bell rings, my next guest has arrived. Lets open the door. Ss: Welcome, come in, please. PPT 出现了彭丽媛的照片。 T: who is she? S: She is Peng Liyuan. T: whats she like? S1: She is beautiful S2: She is a little fat but she is very beautiful. T: She is the mother of all Chinese people. She is kind. 由此引出单词 kind,然后老师领读。玩大小声游戏让学生多次朗读单 词。 T: Listen, the bell rings, my next guest has arrived. Lets open the door. Ss: Welcome, come in, please. PPT 出现了一张警察的照片。 T: who is he? S: He is a policeman. T: Yes, a policeman is always strict. 由此引出单词 strict,然后老师领读。 T: Who can make a face to show us strict.学生上去表演老师会问:whats he like? 然后学生回答:He is strict. T: Ok, now all my friends have arrived, Lets begin our party, lets sing and dance together, Ok? 然后师生一块跳舞,课件播放 If youre happy. 【设计意图:通篇以我过生日,朋友来拜访为线索。课堂的趣味性强, 客人到的时候极具神秘感并且客人都是孩子们感兴趣的人物,极大的 调动了孩子们的积极性。学习每个单词我都设计了小游戏,这样不至 于陷入只是老师领读单词的枯燥。】 Step 3 Practice Read and Check 小游戏 T: 老师指着 PPT 上面的人物: Theyre all my friend, I know them very much, but maybe they dont know each other. So today well learn how to introduce your friend to others. Before this lets review words we have learnt today. If you see a word, maybe a wrong word, please stand up quickly, and if your answer is right, your group will get one point. 老师点开课件和学生一起完成 Read and Check 环节。 老师点开 PPT,出现姚明的照片 T: He is also my friend, but Im so sorry that he is absence today, so I will introduce Yao Ming to my other friends. Opening sentences(开场句): This is my good friend.His name is Yao Ming Appearance description(外形特点):He is (tall / short / fat / thin /beautiful / pretty/ strong/ old/ young) Personality description(性格特征):He is(happy / quiet / friendly /unfriendly/ funny/ kind/ strict) The facial features(五官特征): His(eyes/mouth/ears) is / are Personal specialty(个人特长): He can .well . T: So we get a short passage here. This is my good friend, his name is Yao Ming. He is tall and strong. He is happy, friendly and sometimes he is strict. He has big ears, big mouth, but small eyes. Yao Ming is a basketball player, he can play basketball well. 全班齐读此篇短文。 【设计意图:由单词生成句子,再由句子生成小短文,让些英语小 短文不再那么吃力。这样既体现了小组合作的能力,又让学生口 头操练了本节课的内容,锻炼了学生的口头表达能力。】 Step 4 Consolidation 小组讨论,每一个小组选出自己的模特,小组讨论怎样去描述自己 的小模特。 【设计意图:由单词生成句子,再由句子生成小短文,让些英语小 短文不再那么吃力。这样既体现了小组合作的能力,又让学生口 头操练了本节课的内容,锻炼了学生的口头表达能力。】 Step 5 Ending sentences T: Time flies, Its time to say goodbye. Im very happy today. Becuse of you, I have this unforgettable party. Friends are really very important for me I think. My friends will listen to me when I want to speak. My friends will laugh with me when I want to laugh My friends will wipe my eyes when I cry. My friends will take care of me when Im sick. It is my friends that make my life filled with sunshine. Finally, I believe all of us could enjoy a real beautiful friendship in our lives. T: All my good friends,goodbye!伴随着友谊地久天长的轻音乐,老师 和孩子们拥抱后离场。 【设计意图:此环节扩充孩子的知识,同时老师朗读学生听也刺激 了孩子们的听力。老师孩子拥抱离场增进了老师和学生的距离, 给孩子们留下难忘的瞬间】 板书设计: Unit 1 Whats he like?
