The main topic is to talk about things that happened in the past and learn to use the Simple Past Tense. Ss are going to learn a letter from Lingling to Daming, in which several irregular past forms will be presented. Ss will learn to use this tense in the real circumstances. In addition, Ss will know something relative cultural customs, that is the “kilt”. 学生分析Ss in Grade 5 are familiar with the Simple Past Tense, its easy for them to understand it. But they often forget to use the past forms of the verbs when using this tense to communicate with others. And some irregular forms of verbs are a little difficult for Ss to remember.
