I was. 2要求掌握以下词汇: ( 1)动词: kid, realize ( 2)形容词: icy ( 3 ) 词组: make one s way (本节课的生词较少,而且单词的拼写比较简单,所以学生学起来不会感到困难,可以鼓励学生当堂掌握。) Difficulties(难点): 过去进行时的用法; when 与

3、 while 的区别 Teaching steps( 教学 步骤) 1. Warm-up and revision(课堂热身和复习) =【 ;精品教育资源文库 】 = Revision(复习) T: Before we begin our lesson today , let s review things that we learnt yesterday. Please translate the following phrases. (教师将中文短语呈现在 PPT 上 ) 教学设计说明: 本部分旨在复习上节课所学内容中的重要短语,以中译英的形式呈现,考察学生掌握情况。 2. Grammar

4、 Focus( 语法聚焦 ) T: I have some sentences for you. Can you try to fill in the blanks? (教师将句子以挖空 的形式呈现在 PPT 上,可叫不同的同学来回答。 ) 教学设计说明: 本部分的内容旨在让学生掌握本单元重点句型: What were you doing when the rainstorm came? I was ? What were you doing while Linda was sleeping? I was . 3. Grammar(语法讲解) T: After finishing these

5、sentences, you ve learned more about using past continuous tense. Let s look at these examples. Have Ss look at slides 7-15 in the PowerPoint. (教师可以先让学生开动脑子去总结 Grammar Focus 里面所要讲的语法知识,然后再进行补充,这样学生印象更深刻。) 教学设计说明: 本部分主要内容是:第一,总结过去进行时的用法,弄清楚过去进行时与一般过去时的区别; 第二,学习 when 与 while 的区别,学会如何使用这两个词。 4. Exercis

6、e (过去进行时 精品教育资源文库 】 = Have Ss do the exercise as a class. Have them focus on slides 17-18 and choose the correct answer to complete the four sentences. Check answers as a class. Then show slides 19-24 to the class and explain the important points. Finally have Ss focus on slide 25 and complete the t

7、hree items individually. Check answers by asking some Ss to read out the sentences. 教学设计说明: 通过练习检测学生对于所涉及的时态以及单词区分的掌握情况,进行实战演练。从而起到强化与巩固作用。 5. Challenge yourself (Work on 4a, 4b) T: Now here is a challenge. Write sentences about John and Mary using “ while” and “ when” and the information in the tab

8、le. Have Ss write their sentences in their notebooks. Walk around the classroom and offer help to Ss where necessary. Then have Ss check their answers in pairs and correct the wrong sentences. Finally have a few Ss write their sentences on the board. Check answers as a class. T: OK, now complete the

9、 paragraph with “was”, “were”, “when” or “while” . Have Ss complete the task individually or in pairs. Check answers as a class. 6. Pairwork (Work on 4c) (两人对话) T: What were you doing at these times last Sunday? Fill in the chart. Then ask your partner. (教师在 PPT 上呈现表格,并给出对话示例。) Have Ss look at some

10、pictures on slide 29. Then have two Ss read the sample dialogue on slide 30 aloud. Have Ss write down what they were doing in the “ You” column of the chart. Then have Ss work in pairs to ask and answer questions so that Ss can complete the chart by filling in information in the “ Your partner” colu

Listening Practice (Section B, 1b, 1c 听力 ) T: Now listen to a conversation and write short answers to the questions.Have Ss write their own answers. Check answers as a class. T: Now listen again and number the events in the

13、order they happened. Have Ss write 2-6 to put the events in the correct order (“ 1” is given as worked example). (首先,教师播放听力材料,听两遍分别完成两个练习;然后核对答案;再针对听力原文进行知识点处理;最后对材料进行复述。) 教学设计说明: 本部分通过听力练习,提高学生的听力理解能力,最后通过复述材料内容加大难度,考察学生组织语言的能力以及对于听力内容的理解。 9. Post-listening Exercise T: You ve learned some phrases f

Games (Work on 1d) T: Let s play a game by making sentences. Talk about why Kate missed the school basketball competition.
