1、说课说课 Hello, dear judges, professors and all the teachers. Its my great honor to share my experience here. Now I would like to talk about my lesson from 4 aspects. No. 1, my teaching content is about one of the biggest festivals in western countries, that is Christmas Day, and to compare it with the

2、Spring Festival in China. No. 2, the knowledge aim is to let the Ss learn the five key words: first, next, then, sometimes, and finally. Let them know how to get the main information from the passage. The style of this passage is a letter, so how to write a letter correctly is very important. The te

3、aching strategies are the skills of reading. No. 3, I want to talk about my teaching design. Task 1: Pre-reading: brainstorming. Let the Ss say something about Christmas and try to imagine what the people do on Christmas Day. Task 2: While-reading: whole presentation. First I use the flash to presen

4、t the letter, and let the Ss understand the general idea about the letter. Next the Ss listen to the letter, circle the key words and find the clues about the activities. Then I show the Ss some pictures to guide them to describe the pictures and grasp the key sentences. Finally, I let the Ss fill i

5、n the blanks in order to check whether they could understand the letter correctly. Task 3: Post-reading: compare Christmas Day with the Spring Festival, and write a letter to Mary in their groups, then show their letters in class. No. 4, In my class, I think I succeeded in 2 points: First, it is abo

6、ut the creation of situation. The lesson is about Christmas, so we put Christmas trees, Christmas lights and some presents in the class, so that the students can enjoy themselves happily. Second, it is about assessment. We gave a small Christmas tree to each group, if they do well, they can get the

7、presents .I think doing this can make them learn English well after class. Reflection of my teaching: the time is limited, its only 30 minutes. The culture between Christmas and the Spring Festival is abundant, the Ss cant understand it clearly, so maybe in next class we will let the Ss discuss the two festivals, and find the distinguishes between them.
