Warming up 1.Talk about the sea to elicit the topic, giving some pictures to attract students attention and develop their interest at the same time, then review the words in the lesson. 2.Talk about C

Discussing(Ex.1 ) Get students to discuss who arrived in America first and introduce more basic information about the Vikings.Step 3. Word matching(Ex.2 ) Ask students to find the meanings for the places and match them with t
5、heir definitions, showing a map as a reference on the screen.Step 4. Fast reading 1. Have students look at the map, the title and skim the passage. 2.
