5、 hundreds of. 成百上千的;thousands of. 成千上万的2. 形容词和副词比较级的用法(1)“ 比较级+than” 表示一方比另一方。(2)“ 比较级+and+ 比较级” 或“more and more+ 原级” 意为“ 越来越”。(3)“the+ 比较级., the+ 比较级.” 意为“ 越越” 。(4)“the+ 形容词比较级(+of the two.)” 意为“(两者中)更的那一个”。(5) “less+ 形容词/ 副词原级+than” 表示一方不如另一方。(6)“Which/Who+be/ 动词+ 比较级,A or B?” 用于询问两者之间哪个更。(7)“ 倍数+

6、 比较级+than” 意为“ 是的几倍”。3. 形容词和副词最高级的用法(1)“the+ 形容词最高级(+ 名词)+ 范围” 意为“中最的”。(2) “one of the+ 形容词最高级+ 可数名词复数+ 范围” 意为“中最之一”。(3) “Which/Who+be/ 动词+ 最高级,A, B or C?” 表示“ 在A, B, C 三者中谁最? ”(4)“the+ 序数词+ 形容词最高级+ 单数名词+ 范围” 意为“A, B, C中第几的”。4. 形容词和副词比较级和最高级的变化规则(1) 规则变化:一般情况下,单音节或双音节的形容词(或副词)比较级+-er , 最高级+-est。以 e

7、结尾的词,比较级+-r,最高级+-st 即可。以辅音字母+y 结尾的变 y 为 i+-er 或 -est。以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节词,双写这一辅音字母后再加-er 或-est。 多音节及部分双音节词,在词前加more 或most。少数单音节词也是这样,如:pleased 和tired。(2) 不规则变化:good /well better best;bad/badly worse worst;many/much more most;far farther/furtherfarthest/ furthestStep 3 Work on 4a1.
