6、verlord”,it was the largest combined sea,air and land operation in history,the aim being to free north-west Europe from German occupation.After waiting for the perfect combination of weather,moon and tides,the date for the start of Operation Overlord was set for 6 June.1到1944年春天,第二次世界大战已经在全球肆虐了大约五年。
