Analysis of the Teaching Material 本课中心话题是“谈论个人的打算,及对某事物的看法意见”,具体涉及电视节目,时 尚流行,以及学生围绕电视节目和时尚饰品谈论不同程度的喜好,并发表见解。语言技能和 语言知识集合都是围绕“喜好”这一中心话题设计的。 II. Teaching Aims and Demands (教学目标) 1. Knowledge objects(知识目标): Vocabulary: disc

2、ussion; stand; happen; may; expect; joke; comedy. Target language: Do you want to watch the news? Yes, I do./No, I dont. What do you plan to watch tonight? I plan to watch Days of Our Past. What can you expect to learn from sitcoms? You can learn some great jokes. Why do you like watching the news?

3、Because I hope to find out whats going on around the world. What do you think of talk shows? I dont mind them./I cant stand them!/I love watching them! 2. Ability objects(能力目标): 1). Students will be able to discuss their preferences. 2). Practice students reading and speaking skills. 3. Moral object

Ask students to underline the infinitive in 3a. Step 6 Work on 3b: Extend practice 1. Read the questions and understand them. 2. Answer the questions
