Status and function The theme of unit7 is about “life in the future.” Students will learn the usa ge of simple future tense and master how to make predictions. The contents can raise students interest to express th

It is related to the contents of unit 6 and unit 10,so unit 7 plays an important role in this book and simple future tense is always examined in tests. 2. Teaching objectives According to the students English level and new standard of English, the teachin
3、g objectives are as follows: (1) Knowledge objectives: Master the key words and sentences structures; grasp the usage of simple future tense. (2)Ability objectives: Improve the four skills especially the speaking and listening skills; develop the ability of thinking independently. (3) Moral objectiv
4、es: Stimulate Ss motivation, establish self-confident and cultivate cooperative ability by arranging different kinds of activities. 3. Teaching key points and difficulties Key points: grasp the usage of simple future tense; know how to make predictio ns; master the structure of “ There be”. Difficul
5、ties: grasp the usage of “more, fewer, less” and use them to communicat e in real life; understand some useful phrases and long sentences . Part Two Student analysis For the students of Grade 8 , their age is generally around 14. They are more curious about new things so their interests in learning
6、are easier to be aroused. After one years study and practice under the new course standard,they have some basic knowledge of words、grammar and language structure. Part Three Teaching methods According to English Curriculum Standards and the advanced theories of teaching reform through the analysis a
7、bove, I choose two teaching methods in this unit. 1. Task-based Language Teaching It focuses on students completion of the different tasks in real situations, thus in this lesson I will create some real situations either according to the book so that the students can finish different tasks and get a
8、 better understanding of the target language. 2. Communicative Approach Students can learn to make predictions by communicating with each other in pairs or groups. Part Four Teaching aids I will use multi-media PPT video making the class more lively and interesting. I will also use some traditional
