Teaching Aims 1) Pupils are able to memorize the words of good habits 2) Pupils will know how to ask about “daily life”. 3) Encourage the pupils to improve their oral English and learn how to cooperate with others. 4) Educate students to have a good habit and often help mum and dad do housework. 2. Teaching contents: Key words: rush ones teeth ,wash ones face,comb ones hair, finish ones homework,etc. Key sentences: How often do you brush your teeth? I brush my teeth twice a week. Extension: How often does he/she brush his/her teeth? 3. He/She brushes his/her teeth twice a day Important points: 1) Ps can read and recognize the new words. 2) Ps can ask about “How often do you?” and answer. 4. Difficult points: Ps can talk about “their daily life” 5. Teaching aids: Pictures, ppt, cards, etc. 6. Teaching procedures: Step1. Warming-up 1. Greetings Free talk: daily life. ( let the students know each other and get closer to each other.) 2. Sing a song: Ten Little Fingers Chant activities: How often do you help at home?:(Arouse students interest and make the class active.) Step 2. Presentation 1. Make a survey to lead out the new words: What good habit do you have? How often do .? To learn students good habits and learn the new phrases. To tell the students what we should do every day. 2. Do some TPR games to consolidate the new words and pay attention to the pronunciation of letters“ck and sh” 3Tell a story about John and his habits and daily life. Ask the students“Why is mum angry? And “What should he do every day?” To consolidate the word and teach the new sentence patterns: He should brush his teeth every day. How often should he brush his teeth? He should brush his teeth twice a day. (Using a story and cartoon character to arouse students interest, group ask and individual ask can make the class active.) 3.
