2、e pictures 四、教学过程四、教学过程 Step Warming-up Free-talk Have a free talk with Ss: Have you ever been to another country? Have you ever made friends with foreigners? Will you have dinner with a foreign family? Would you like to stay with a host family? Is living in a foreign family good for improving your

3、English? 设计意图:通过与学生的自由交谈,快速引入新课的同时也训练了学生的口语表达能力。 Step Presentation Language practice 1. To master the use of “and, but” or “or” by filling the blanks. (1) When are you leaving _ how long are you going to stay there? (2) It sounds crazy, _ I dont know what to take. (3) Shorts are good, _ you can wear

4、 light trousers. Grammar T explains some grammar points. 设计意图:以本单元的句子为引子,引导学生自主发现语法现象,教师作讲解补充,便于对 知识系统掌握,加深印象。 Step I Practice Grammar Exercises 1. Show some exercises from the senior high school entrance examination. 2. Let Ss finish them to consolidate what they have learned today. 3. Check the an

5、swers in the whole class. 设计意图: 通过让学生做近年中考题巩固并列复合句这一重要语法点, 检查学生对该语法点 掌握情况的同时,也在体验中考题型的过程中加深对该语法点的巩固。 Activity 1 1. Let Ss join the sentences according to the meaning of the two parts of the sentence with and, but, or or. 2. Check the answers together. 3. Work in pairs and say the sentences. 设计意图:让学生

6、通过与同伴的合作组合句子并读句子强化了学生对 and, or ,but 引导的并 列复合句的运用。 Activity 2 1. Ask Ss to complete the passage with “and”, “but” and “or”. 2. Ask Ss to compare answers with their partners, and then check as a class. 设计意图:本活动的目的是在语篇中进一步练习并列复合句,本语篇与第二单元课文相似, 有助于学生巩固新的语法。 Activity 3 1. Read the instructions as a class

7、 and check students understanding. 2. Write a sentence on the board, for example, “Many tourists go to Paris.” 3. Invite a St to come to the board and add information after “but”. 4. Ask another St to add another sentence with “but”. 5. Ask the first St to add, and so on, until one St cannot think o

8、f anything to add. Possible sentences: But more people visit London. But not everybody speaks French. But it is a quite expensive city. But the weather is not always very good. 3. Ask another two students to come to the board and demonstrate with a second sentence. 设计意图: 本活动是与话题相关的开放性的输出活动, 旨在帮助学生进一

Go through the words and expression in the box with students and check meanings. 3. Ask Ss to complete the sentences according to the information in the advertisement. 4. Ask Ss to ch

10、eck their answers with a partner and then as a whole class. 设计意图:本活动有两个目的,一是帮助学生巩固本模块词汇,二是训练学生阅读后的信息 转述能力。 Activity 5 Have Ss work in pairs. Imagine that they are going to take summer English courses in Australia. Write down questions about the course. Use the words or expression in the box in Activ

13、 basketball. 设计意图:通过练习,帮助学生巩固所学的相关知识。 Step V Summary Help Ss to sum up what they have learned. 1. and 的用法 并列连词 and 意为“和,又”,表示并列关系,常用来连接表示对等成分的单词、短语或者 句子,表示意思的顺延或增补。 2. but 的用法 并列连词 but 意为“但是”,表示转折关系,所连接的成分意思相反或相对。 3. or 的用法 并列连词 or 意为“或者”,表示选择关系。 设计意图:带领学生梳理所学知识,方便学生课后巩固复习。 Step VI Homework Write a
