2、略读和精读, 获取文章信息, 理解文章所传递出的文化内涵。 通过学习活动总结英语学习方法,并就英语学习发表自己的观点。 教学难点:体会文本所传递的文化内涵,深入思考英语语言的特点。教学资源: 教材,多媒体课件,学案,黑板,粉笔教学过程: Lead in 5 Step 1: T gives Ss three brainteasers: 1.What letter(字母)do most people fear most? 2.What are the two strongest days of one week? 3.Which can move faster, heat or cold? Ste

3、p 2: T asks Ss: Whats your feeling towards English? Step 1:Ss have a short discussion and thinking and then give their answers and reasons.Ss guess the answers and have a fun time with T so that Ss can feel the fun the English. Step 2:Ss give their opinions on English.(confusing/difficult.) 通过英语脑筋急转

4、弯这种兼具趣味性与思考性的形式, 让学生体会英语语言独特 的趣 味 性 。 通 过 brainteaser 一词(涉及到构词法)让学生思 考 文 本 题 目“Neither Pine Nor Apple in Pineapple”是何含义,从而引入文本主题。通过上述几个 令学生困惑的问题让学生发表自己对英语的看法。 Activity 1Read for structure Step 1:T guides Ss to skim the passage and then divide the passage into three parts and give the main ideas of e

5、ach part. Step 2:T asks Ss: Whats the authors opinion on English? Step 1:Ss look through the whole passage and divide the passage into three parts and try to give the main idea of each part. Step 2:Ss conclude the authors opinion on English: a crazy language 通过略读课文,让学生从全局角度观察文章结构,将文章分为三个部分并给出 主旨大意。该

6、环节的设置有助于培养学生的语言能力(获取、概括信息,推断作 者意图、态度)以及提升思维品质(概括并整合信息,进而形成自己的判断) 。 Activity 2 Read for examples Step 1:T leaves Ss enough time to read and understand the examples given in the passage. Step 2:T asks Ss to give the examples missing in the form after reading. Step 3:T asks Ss: Why is English so crazy?

7、 Step 1:Ss read the examples carefully and try to understand the meanings and feel the specific culture hidden in the examples. Step 2:Ss read the examples aloud and check the answers. Step 3:Ss give their answer after reading the last part of the passage. 通过精读课文所给的典型例子, 进一步梳理英语的奇妙之处, 考查学生对课文细节信息 的理

8、解和整合。从而培养学生的语言能力(获取、概括信息;描述、阐释意义) 、发展学生 的思维品质(归纳、概括并整合信息;作出合理评价并形成自己的观点) Activity 3 Explore English Learning Step 1: T shows the origins of “pineapple”,“hamburger”,and “eggplant”(culture background) Step 2: T guides Ss to think how can they enrich their vocabulary according to the examples in the pa

9、ssage.(word formation) Step 3:T guides Ss to listen to a part of the passage. Then T asks Ss: Can you retell what you have listened just now exactly? Step 4:T gives Ss some abbreviations and asks Ss to tell their full names. Step 5: T gives Ss two tongue twisters and asks Ss to read fluently and try

10、 to translate them. Step 6:T shows a video to Ss and asks the questions: 1. What advice does Ioannis give to language learners? 2. InIoanniss opinion, what is the most complicated language in the world? Step 7:T invites some Ss to share their experience and methods of Step 1: Ss read the origins of

11、the three words given in the passage and concludes that to learn English well, they should know something about culture. Step 2:Ss give some examples of the four methods of word formation mentioned in the passage. And realize the importance of learning some basic grammar. Step 3:Ss listen to the tap

12、e for just once and fill in the blanks. Then Ss conclude they should practice their listening skill in daily life. Step 4: Ss read the abbreviations and give their full names. Then Ss conclude that they should enrich their knowledge to learn English well. Step 5:Ss practice reading the tongue twiste

13、rs by themselves and some Ss show their reading and translation. Step 6:Ss watch the video and answer the two questions. Ss read the advice given by Ioannis together. Step 7:Some Ss share their experience and methods of learning English. 通过一系列补充材料(能够体现出英语语言的趣味性、创造性的音频、视频以及文 字材料) 让学生共同探索英语学习的方法与策略(掌握
