9、secondary school as _ exchange student. I _(stay) with a lovely host family and went to school with _(they) son, Daniel. We were both in year ten and we got _ well. He is learning Chinese and will come to stay with me this year in China. The British school day begins _ 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Stud
10、ents _(usual) have to learn nine subjects at secondary school. Every student in the UK must study English, Maths and the Science subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students can also choose _(study) other subjects, such _ History, Art and Business. The classes are different from _ in China. Ea
11、ch teacher has their own classroom and the students move around for every lesson. In most of my classes, there were only about 20 students. In the _(begin), however, _ was still tough for me to remember everyones name! I enjoyed most of the classes, but some of them were quite _(challenge). technolo
12、gy classes were fun. I made a clock to take home. The teacher helped me put the parts _. i like it so much _ i still use it as my alarm! I found Maths quite easy and _(enjoy) because the material was less advanced in the UK _ in China. However,_ (learn) in English was a great challenge for me. There
13、 were a lot of difficult English _(word), especially in Geography and Biology. Class discussion is very important in the UK, _ I could not make a great contribution because sometimes I wasnt able to express _(me) clearly in English. Although there was not as much homework _ i was used to, it was sti
14、ll challenging. _(fortunate), my teachers and classmates were always _(help) and gave me lots of _(encourage). My language skills improved over time. During the hour-long lunchtime, I_(eat) in the school dining hall. There were lots options _(include) bread and butter, chicken pie and puddings, but
15、i still missed my mums cooking! After lunch, I often played _ the schools huge sports field _ Daniel and his friends. Sometimes we just relaxed under a tree or _(sit) on the grass. After school, there were many clubs _(join). The one _ attracted me most was the Rugby Club. We played once a week, and
16、 it was great fun. Also I enjoyed _(act) in the Theater Club. I still have photos of myself acting in William Shakespeares A Midsummer Nights Dream. _(Join) clubs was a great way to meet British students and make friends _ with them. I am glad _(have) the opportunity to experience this _(difference) way of life. I _(meet) some great people and learnt a lot about school life in the UK. Daniel and his family were fantastic hosts, and his friends were very nice _ well. I cant wait for Daniel _(visit) China!
