1、Lesson 5 A Basketball Game 教学设计 一、教材分析:本书是河北教育出版社六年级下册英语课本。我所选 的课是第一单元的第五课。本单元的主要内容是有关运动的,第五课 是关于谈论一场篮球比赛的主题,其中,交谈的的人物是 Mr. Smith, Jenny, Li Ming,提到的两个队是蓝队和橙队, Bob 所在的队是蓝队, Bob 是 Mr. Smith 的儿子,是 Jenny 的哥哥,他的身份是一名警察,他是 一名很出色的运动员,他在今晚的比赛中打得非常好,尽管他只是在 周六日打篮球作为娱乐。Jenny 和 Li Ming 作为他的粉丝,满怀激情的 为 Bob 喝彩加油,

2、最后 Bob 所在的蓝队不负众望,打败了橙队,赢 得了这场比赛! 二、教学目标(Teaching aims) : 1.知识目标 Aims on the knowledge (1) To enable the Ss to aurally understand, orally use, recognize and spell the new vocabulary game, team, ask, very, answer, policeman, win(won), yell. (2) To enable the Ss to recognize, understand and use these q

3、uestions: What did you do this evening? Who won? Make sure that Ss can use these sentences in real situations. 2. 能力目标 Aims on the abilities (1) To develop Ss abilities of listening and speaking. 6、order, PPT, a basketball, pictures of teams 七、教学过程 Teaching procedures and purposes of designing: 1. Greeting and Warm-up (1). Listen to the song: Oh, What Did You Do? and sing it together. (2). Review the word basketball by pointing to the real basketball and asking “Whats this?” , remind the Ss of

7、 todays main content . And then I write the word on the blackboard.(ppt.) Purpose: Its important to attract the Ss attention and construct an atmosphere of learning English, so I let the Ss sing the English song, look at the real basketball to review an important learnedword in this lesson for the n

8、ext step. 2.Lesson Hook Bobs favorite sport is basketball. He played basketball this evening. He played a basketball this evening. Today we are going to learn Lesson 5 a basketball game. Purpose:By taking an example for basketball, I talk about Li Ming and Jenny, like this“ Li Ming and Jenny watched

9、 a basketball game. ”In this way, the headline of this lesson can be showed so easily , and repeat the phrase a basketball game, writing it on the blackboard. 3. Teaching Process Step 1. Present the new words: (1) Write the headline, showing the ppt. , telling the Ss “This isa basketball game.” Writ

10、e the word game on the blackboard. Let the Ss read it after me, game, g-a-m-e, game,a football game, a ping-pong game . play a game with, play a basketball game, play a football game, play a ping-pong game, in this way, I want the Ss to learn the word from one word to several words , which are some

11、phrases, and there are some learned words in the phrases in order to make full use of the words they have learned. (2) Go on to talk about the game, “The game is between two teams.” Stress the word team. Teach this word just like game, write it on the blackboard and point to it connected with the pp

12、t.(ppt),”This is the Blue Team/Orange Team.team team t-e-a-m, team ”Help the Ss understand the meaning with the help of ppt. Make sure they can say the two teamsnames correctly in order to prepare the basketball game. The Ss will be familiar with the two teams in the game, and they will talk about t

13、he game skillfully. (3) Go on to introduce the basketball game. You know what, the game is very great. It was a very good game. Stress the word very, and write it on the blackboard. Let the Ss repeat it after me, the teaching process is the same as the last words, but one of differences is that it c

14、ant be showed in the ppt. for the word is an adverb word. I make sentences in this word, in order that the Ss can understand the word be usually put not onlyin front of a noun word but also behind verb be, such as He is a very kind boy or he is very kind. (3) Go on to tell the Ss the game. In this s

15、tep, another speaker Mr. Smith who is Jenny s father is referred. Why? Because Mr. Smith paid attention to the game, he asks some questions , Jenny and Li Ming answer the questions. The two new words ask and answer will be showed in the conversation. I will let the Ss open the book read the text, at

16、 the same time, ask them to find out all of the two words. Write them on the blackboard, ask the Ss to read and remember them. (4) Show the Ss pictures of Jenny s family, and find out the very important player on the Blue Team, his name is Bob. He played hard in the game, and he is a good player. In

17、troduce Bob to the Ss, he is a policeman. Stress the word policeman, write it on the blackboard, let the Ss learn this word. I show the picture(s) of policeman/policemen. (5) When we talk about a game, we often use the following words, win-won, yell for. teach these words by my body language. Step 2

18、 Practice the dialogue (1)Play the audiotape twice as they follow along. With the help of the flash to present the dialogue.The multimedia can develop Ssabilities of listening and speaking. I encourage Ss to imitate sounds of speech and take risks when speaking. (2)Demonstrate the dialogue. Then ask

19、 two students to come forward. I act Mr. Smith, ask two volunteers to act Li Ming and Jenny. The other students can help us read the sentence such as “ asks Mr. Smith, answers Jenny and says Li Ming”. In this way, the most Ss can practice the new words ask and answer. For example, I ask“What did you

20、 do this evening? Who won? ” , these two questions are the aims on the knowledge. And I encourage Ss to imitate sounds of speech, whats more,the dialogue can develop Ss abilities of listening and speaking. (3)Role play in groups. I will divide the Ss into groups of four Ss, and I encourage them to p

21、lay different roles to talk about the basketball game. Help the Ss to read the dialogue, then ask them to act it for the class. It can train the Ss ability of working in groups and foster Ss abilities of communication. (4)Talk about Bob, ask and answer like this “Who is Bob? He is Jennys brother, he

22、 is a policeman, he plays basketball for fun on Saturday and Sunday,.” I encourage Ss make full use of the sentences in the text. Purpose: To develop various forms of class modality, cultivate Ss interesting in learning English and student-centered approach gains more chance to participate the activ

23、ities for everyone. (5)Listening practice. Let the Ss take out the exercise book, turn to page 13, do the first one Listen and fill in the blanks. (6)Complete the following practices.Purpose: To check the knowledge Ss have learned in this lesson. Step 3. Conclusion In this step, I will guide the Ss

24、to conclude the key words game, ask, very, answer, policeman.And sentences What did you do this evening? Who won? Step 4Homework 1. Let the Ss recite the text. 2. Talk about a game. 3.Complete the practice in the exercise book. Purpose: Revision is so important that Ss should speak English as much a
