Then play the tape for the Ss to listen and write down the three books. 2. Play the tape again and check if they have read the books and what they think of them. 3. Check the answers. Ask Ss to read their answers in this way: Nick hasnt read Treasure land, but Judy has read it. She thinks its . Step 5 Practice (1c) 1. Ss read the sample conversation first, then talk about the other books in 1a in pairs. 2. Ask some pairs to practice their conversations. Step6 Listening (2a, 2b) 1. Let Ss watch the picture in 1c and guess what these books are mainly about. Play the tape for the Ss to listen and check Mark or Tina. 2. Give Ss some time to read the sentences in 2b, explain if necessary. Then Ss listen and write T or F. 3. Listen again and check the answers. Step 7 Pairwork 1. Let a pair of Ss to read the conversation in 2c to the class. 2. Ask Ss to talk about the books according to the information in 2a and 2b. Step8 role play conversation 1.let Ss try to under the meaning of conversation,and point out the key words for them. 2.let Ss listen to the tape and read the conversation together. 3.let Ss role play conversation Step 9think about Let Ss sum up what they have learned this class. No,I havnt.I havent read it yet. the back of finish doing sth. 教学反思 During my preparation, I prepared a lot of pictures to realize the revision and teaching of the new words. I found that they were quite attractive when students saw them during the teaching. To some extent, the use of the pictures of some covers could cultivate studentsinterest. During the class, I proceeded well as I designed. Once I raised a question, most of the students could undertake brainstorm and gave me the correct answers. For most of the time, all of the students were very hard-working. It seemed that they had grasped all the knowledge effectively in this period. However, I found some problems when they stood up to give me answers. At that time, I felt nervous about my teaching effect. “Was my teaching method unsuitable for them?”, I said to myself, but I had no time to think. I tried to speak more slowly and clearly, giving them more time to think and speak. It really worked. The students and I cooperated well during the following steps. Next time I hope I can do it better.
