Shangdong is in the east of China. Many people listened to him. He talked to kids and their parents. He helped farmers, students, and leaders. People learned many things from Kongzi. They learned to their parents and their family. They also learned to love their country and their culture. 1、Who was Kongzi? ( ) a hero ( )a wise man 2、Where did he live? ( )Shangdong ( )Hubei 3、What did he do? ( )helped people ( )saved peoples lives Kongzi(Confucius) was a wise man and a great teacher. He lived in Shangdong. Shangdong is in the east of China. 在中国东部,今山东省,有一位伟大的思想家、 教育家孔子。 Many people listened to him. He talked to kids and their parents. He helped farmers, students, and leaders. 孔子广收门徒,其范围可从少年到成人,从农民 ,学龄儿童,到领导人。 People learned many things from Kongzi. They learned to their parents and their family. They also learned to love their country and their culture. 人们从孔子的教育中获益良多。于家,他们学会 了孝敬父母,友爱家庭。于国,他们学会了热爱 祖国文化,发扬爱国主义精神。 What did he teach us? Confucius Teaching aims: 1. Help the students can understand the story of Confucius. 2. Help the students to know these words. teach-taught , culture. 3. Help the students can tell a story of Confucius. Key points:Help the students can understand the story of Confucius. Difficult points: Help the students can tell a story of Confucius. Teaching Aids:CAI, cards, pictures, tape. Teaching Procedures: Step 1: Warming up 1 .Greetings. Step 2: Revision and Presentation 1. Revision. Game: quick response. Teacher show the cards of a leader, a hero, a scientist, a brave man, a kind man, a wise man. Ask the students to response quickly. 2. Presentation. The teacher shows the icon of Confucius. And then ask the students “Who was he?” Help the students to answer “He was Confucius.” 3.ask the students Listen to the tape and read the story and then ask them the two questions as follow. Who was he? Where did he live? 4.check the answer and then teaching the story. Pay attention to these words Live-lived, teach-taught, write-wrote. Step 3: Practice and Consolidation 1.listen the story again, and then.read after the tape. And try to retell the story. 2.Ask the students to finish activity 3. to do a project. Step 4: Homework Ask the students to retell the story of Confucius. Blackboard designing: Lesson 17 The story of Confucius Who was he? Where did he live? What did he do? What did he teach us?
