(拓展延伸) 西方人很爱宠物,狗、猫、猩猩、蛇、蜥蜴、变色龙、香猪、猫鼬、海 狸、乌龟、狐狸、垂耳兔等都是他们喜爱的宠物。很多宠物的主人把这些毛 茸茸的朋友当作家庭的一部分,有时候还为宠物准备娱乐用的录像带和玩具 来增添他们生活的乐趣,还会让他们的宠物穿上时髦的衣服,在特殊的场合 里,甚至为宠物喷上狗儿专用的香水,宠物在饭店可以享用以精致瓷器盛装 的美食,并在柔软的床上睡觉。可以说,美国人待他们的宠物如同待他们的 孩子一样有时甚至更好。西方人看中狗的跟随与忠诚,喜爱它,赞美它 ,把它喻作人,亲切地称之为he,英语中关于狗的习语远远超过汉语中的狗 的习语,诸如:aluckydog(幸运儿)、acleverdog(聪明小孩,伶俐的小伙 子)、gay(jolly)dog(快活的人)、worklikeadog(拼命工作)等等。猫也是西 方人“宠物文化”中的重要成员,人们多用cat来形容女人,称之为she;模特儿 走的舞台步就叫catwalk(猫步),oldcat指脾气坏的老太婆。 Homework: 1.Write these words . 2. Unit 5 Whose dog is this?(?(B) Lets learn 教学设计 一教学目标 1掌握五个动词的 ing 形式: climbing,eating,drinking,playing,jumping,sleeping。 2能听懂句子“Are these rabbits eating?”并能回答 “No , Theyre playing with each other.” 。 3能根据图片实际情况回答老师的问题,并能够运用句型“It isThey are+动词 ing”描述动物正在做的事情。 4在游戏中轻松掌握教学内容,体验听、说英语的快乐。 5通过了解宠物文化,渗透爱护动物的情感教育。 二教学重难点 1.重点:掌握五个动词的 ing 形式;初步了解其意义。 2.难点 :能听懂老师的问题并能够运用句型“It isThey are+动词 ing”描述动物正在做的事情。 三教学内容与过程 (1)、热身(Warm-up) 1Lets sing a song Days of the week 。 2Review the words : 复习与本课时所学内容相关的单词,激发回 忆,为新单词的教学做准备。 3Free talk : What day is it today ? What would you like to drink ? When do yo eat dinner ? (2)、新课呈现(Presentation) 1Look at the picture ,answer the questions: (1) Who are they ? (2) What are the talking about ? 通过呈现主题图,让学生了解所学内容。 2Lets learn (1) 以问题 Whats the Fido doing ? 引出第一个单词 sleeping 并教学 该单词,引出句型:Fido is sleeping .和 They are sleeping . (2) 呈现本课时新单词,学生小组合作认读单词。 (3) 汇报合作结果: 学生认读 教师个别正音 看图,尝 试用英语描述图片中的动物正在做什么。 spell the word (联系学过的单词,学生可以小组合作中学会读 playing ,eating , drinking 三个单词 ) (4) 根据学生汇报情况,学习另外两个新词 climbing 和 jumping (教学方法同 sleeping) 3. Practice : (1) Read these words in group (2) Lets play a game :passing (动作传递) 4. Let s talk (1)呈现课本主题图,认读句子,重点跟读句子:They are playing with each other .
