Greetings 2. Sing Alphabet Song and Clap hands When “a e i o u” is sung loud. Step 2 Presentation of the new words. 1.Review the words In U1-4. 2. TPR game: Show a unhappy face to let the students guess the meaning, 3. Listen to the tape and do the exercises and check the answers in two. 4. Do the exercise 2 and try to mach the words and the pictures. 5 Invite three Ss up and have them draw a line to do the match and then say their words. Step 3 Practice: Play the word games: Slap game, listen and clap hands etc. Step 4 Presentation of the conversation. 1. Smile and look happy. T: Im happy. Repeat. Ss: Im happy. 2. Look sad. T: Im sad. Repeat. Ss Im sad. Crouch down so you are barely visible to the Ss. As you ask the class questions, continue making clear gestures. Continue with various Ss until you introduce the new words to Ss. 3. Listen to the tape one time and ask Ss comprehension questions such as Who is small? Who it sad? Then listen again. Have Ss follow along. 4. Play the tape again, pausing after each sentence and letting Ss repeat. Step7 Homework 1. Copy the key words in U1-2 twice each. 2. Listen to the tape five times.
