13、. The idea came from Matt Riggs.In 2020, Matt, the Baltimore man, hungup holiday lights to let his neighbor feel the connection they shared. Hisneighbor Kim Morton had a difficult time because of COVID-19. She shared how she felt online. When Matt first saw Kims post, he decided to hang up lights be
14、tween their two houses to show she wasnt alone. “I was reaching out to Kimto brighten her world,” Matt said.Without being asked, other neighbors hung up lights of their own. In a few days, lots of strands crossed the street from one house to the next.“Little by little, the whole neighborhood started
15、 doing it,” Matt said. “The lights show connection and love.”In 2021, the neighborhood came together once more to show their connection. This time, they made a party of decorating the street, hanging more lights than ever.
