7、t levels of governments, institutions and individuals, has helped to build 1,811 Spring Buds schools and sponsored 3.69 million poor girls to complete the nine-year compulsory education. And to make this mission a success, thousands of teachers and good Samaritans have devoted their money and time t

8、o the project.Zhang Guimei, a school teacher in Lijiang, Yunnan province, is one such individual. A teacher all her life, she was heartbroken to see her students return home after completing the nine-year compulsory education. Many of those students had the potential to excel in life if given the op

9、portunity to enroll in a college, but they couldnt do so because their poor parents could not afford to pay their tuition. Shackleton is described as calm and brave and takes his crews safety very seriously. The rest of the creware also brave, though a few are not very positive,

23、 and all were at times understandably worried anddesperate about their situation. Overall though, they remained positive. This was because they trustedShackleton and knew he would do his best to save them.The crew faced great troubles once Endurance got stuck in the ice. Soon they had to abandon the

24、 shipand camp on the ice. They had to face the extreme weather and cold as well as a dangerous environment and all with limited supplies. All of this added to the mental challenge, so they had to maintain a positive stateof mind. Shackletons motive was always to make sure his crew survived, and thei

25、rs was to last until he hadfound help.What I like most about this story is that although their expedition failed in achieving its goal, it was notthe disaster it could have been. This was due to Sakletons perseverance in getting help and the crews bravery in surviving for so long. My impression of t
