3、experience for me.2.I was very happy with the school hours in Britain because school starts around 9 a.m.and ends about 3.30 p.m.3.This means I could get up an hour later than usual as schools in China begin before 8 a.m.4.On the first day,all students attended an assembly in the school hall.5.I sat
4、 next to a girl whose name is Diane.6.We soon became best friends.7.During assembly,the headmaster told us about the rules of the school.8.He also told us that the best way to earn respect from the school was to work hard and achieve high grades.9.This sounded like my school in China.10.I had many t
5、eachers in the past year and they each taught only one subject.11.Mr Heywood was my class teacher.12.My favourite teacher was Miss Burke.13.She was the teacher who taught us English literature.14.In our class there were 29 students.15.This is about the average size for British schools.16.We had to m

8、h books in the library.22.I joined the Computer Club at lunchtime,so I could e-mail my family and friends back home for free.23.I also had an extra French class on Tuesday evenings.24.Cooking was really fun as I learned how to buy,prepare and cook food.25.At the end of term we held a class party and
9、 we all had to cook something.26.I was glad that all my classmates enjoyed the cake that I made.27.Students at that school have to study Maths,English and Science,but can drop some subjects if they dont like them,for example,History,French and Art.They can choose other subjects like Woodwork,Compute
10、r Science or Languages,such as Spanish,German,etc.28.In woodwork class I made a small table.29.Though it didnt look like a table when it was finished,I still liked it very much.30.I missed Chinese food a lot at lunchtime.31.British food is very different.32.British people eat lots of desserts after
