Three-skill words: :hang. smile. ready Key structures:What are you doing? Were-ing. 2. Ability aims: By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to: 1. Scan the text 2. Get to know photos take photos hang lights 3What are you doing? We are -ing 3. Focus of the lesson: 1. Understanding the dialogue as a whole; 2. Role playing the dialogue with the right pronunciation, intonation and sentence stress. What are you dong? Were-ing. 4. Predicted area of difficulty: Students can distinguish: What are you dong? Were-ing. 二、Teaching methods: Task-based teaching approach, Situational language teaching , Audio-Lingual methods,Elicitation teaching 三、Teaching aids: pictures cards , CAI, tape .cam 四、Teaching Procedures: Step I : Warming-up. 1. Show about feelings pictures ;hot. cold .tired .happy.ask the students to read. 2. play a game: watch TV. cook read books. eat sleep. draw pictures. StepII : Presentation 1. T: Show Photo and “lights” on (PPT) T: Whats this? Its a photo. Show many photos. What are they? They are photos. Ss Spell, read and write after the teacher. Then teach another ways: take a photo take pictures take a picture 设计意图:新授单词,拓展其他的词组,提高学生的单词量。 2Use the light in the classroom to teach the word: light( night right eight) 设计意图:培养学生独立思考的能力。 3. T: (do and say) The teacher take out the lights then hang the lights on the blackboard. Say hang lights. I am hanging lights. 4. Ask s1 do it .T ask What am I doing? S1 I am hanging lights. 5. Ask two students: What are you doing? S1 and S2 answer: We are hanging lights.” StepIII: Practice 1. T: What are you doing? S1: I am _ing. S1What are you dong? S2 I am-ing StepIV: Production S1 do .S2 ask What are you doing”S1 answer” I aming. S2What is heshe doing? S3 HeShe is-ing. 2. Practice in groups. A: What are you doing? B: Im _. A: What is she/he doing? B: She/He is _.设计意图:为学生的知识提高一个阶层。 Step V: Consolidation 1. Listen to the tape of P116P117 then read the text. Then practice reading in groups. 2. Exercise.
