Today Im going to talk about part two. The topic of this lesson should be “What do you want to be?”. By study of this unit, the students should know how to ask or answer with simple words and sentences. From our study , the student can communicate with the new words and the sentences. Analysisofstudent: Our students are in Grade Five. They are active and curious, interested in new things. After learning English for two years, they have some basic English background knowledge, so the teacher should attach importance to the communication with them, providing them the chances of using language. Teaching aims 1. Aims on the knowledge To enable the Ss to understand and speak “what do you want to be? I want to be . Make sure that Ss can use these sentences in real situations. 2. Aims on the abilities (1) To develop Ss abilities of listening and speaking. (2) To train the Ss ability of working in groups. (3) To cultivate Ss abilities of communication and their innovation. 3. Aims on the emotion To enable the students to love their life more. Key-points of this lesson (1) To enable Ss to master words. (2) To help Ss ask and answer the question: Difficult points To help the Ss ask and answer the question and make sure they can use the structure correctly. Teaching methods: As we all know: the main aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill arrange four kinds of activities: singing songs, doing funny exercise, chant and having a competition. Step one: warm-up It takes about 2 minutes. Step two: presentation It includes word studying and teacher-student communication . It takes about 25 minutes. Step three: writing It takes about 10 minutes.
