Lesson 1 plays a very important part in unit 6. It provides the words of growing up and it is easier for Ss to learn the new sentence structure of lesson 2.After studying this lesson,it is hoped that the Ss will be able to talk about their growing up stories. Our students are in Grade 5.They are active and curious,interested in new things. So when teachers teach new knowledge,theyd better use some games and activities.Especially growing up is a very common topic.If Ss can use English to talk about their growing up stories,they must be very happy.
