2、 thank Miss Anna Marie Jarvis.It is she who brought up the idea of having such a day.She lived in WestVirginia.Annas mother was a peace activist who cared for wounded soldiers on both sides of the Civil War and created Mothers DayWork Clubs to address public health issues.Her mother died on May 9th,

3、1905.On the anniversary of her mothers death,sheinvited some friends to an informal memorial meeting.In 1907,a church service was held on her mothers death anniversary.Annas lovefor her mother moved other people.Besides,she wrote letters to important persons of the country suggesting a public holida

The next minute, the porridge boiled over and put out the fire. Jenna panicked. Thankfully, Jeff stayed calm and turned off

10、the gas quickly. But the stove was a mess now. Jenna told Jeff to clean it up so they could continue to cook the rest of the porridge. But Jeffs hand touched the hot burner and he gave acry of pain. Jenna made him put his hand in cold water. Then she caught the smell of burning. Oh dear! The piece o
