In this unit, since the topic is mainly about jobs, student are required to master the names of eight jobs mentioned in our textbook, and to talk about ones occupation (e.g.: What do you do? Im a teacher. ) and talk about dream jobs (e.g.: What do you want to be? I want to be a teacher. ). Thus, while learning some of the most common jobs in the world, students will not only be guided to establish lofty ideals, but also be encouraged to study hard, fight for their dreams and fulfill them. This class follows the requirements of the new curriculum. Teacher use diversified teaching methods and design different teaching tasks for Students to learn, in groups and in class, even from each other. The purpose of this lesson is to train students spontaneous learning ability and their abilities of communication and cooperation. Analysis of the students: The students of Grade 4 are mostly active, energetic, quick-minded, confident, and eager to learn. They had oral English classes at both Grade One and two. Then they have system English courses from Grade Three. Therefore, most students can understand the teachers simple directions and they are able to communicate with others in simple English. Furthermore, most of them begin to show the ability to get information and learn by themselves or from their peers, and they are more eager to little teachers, teaching peers and being the leaders in groups. In the last class, students have learnt four jobs: a taxi driver, a nurse, a firefighter and an office worker, and how to ask and answer about others present jobs. Teaching objectives: A.
